WDYT of Quinn?

I’ve just taken quite a liking to [name]Quinn[/name], and surprisingly, so has my normally picky fiance! What do you think?

Also, suggestions for middle names? Not really a fan of how any family names sound with it. I think [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Joy[/name] sounds pretty (and I really like the name [name]Joy[/name]) but the only issue is our last name is also one syllable. Is a 1-1-1 pattern okay?

I’d go with a 3 syllable middle name, so the full name doesn’t sound so choppy. [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Nathalia[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Alexis[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Elena[/name], so many options!

I do like [name]Quinn[/name] for a girl. I think a different number of syllables sounds better, [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Joy[/name] sounds very abrupt and choppy to me.

I have an up and down love for [name]Quinn[/name]. Mostly down now. My husband is also picky (he would say the same of me!) but he loved this name and I started to really like it, it grew on me.Had it in our top 3 even. I liked that it was simple, easy to spell and not too common, bit spunky. But I didn’t like that its feels modern and not overtly feminine.

Most people I asked didn’t like the name, the ones who did were all men. And it doesn’t get much love around here I have found.
I find it very difficult to get a middle name that sounds nice with [name]Quinn[/name]. A lot of choices make it sound like “queen” ie [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]. And many just sound “off” with it imo.
I personally think a 1-3-1 name would be nice. My favs with [name]Quinn[/name] were [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Violet[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Sylvia[/name]

I think that [name]Quinn[/name] is very cute! But I do think you need a longer middle name because with joy it turns into one name… Quinjoy

I think just about anything goes with [name]Quinn[/name]. I would pair it with a slightly longer mn.

[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]

I know a little [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Marie[/name], she is darling!

I know a baby [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Delaney[/name], little sis to [name]Emery[/name] [name]Lynn[/name].

Not a huge fan of their choice [name]Delaney[/name] but loving [name]Quinn[/name], and the nick name Quinnie is pretty adorable! If I had a [name]Quinn[/name] I think I’d pick [name]Allison[/name], [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Linnea[/name] or [name]Valerie[/name] as a middle name (depending on the last name of course). I think a longer middle name would suite [name]Quinn[/name] a little better than a one syllable such as [name]Joy[/name]. I just feel when you say them together it could come out all jumbled as QUINJOY…which sounds a little silly to me!

I can’t decide about [name]Quinn[/name]. I think it has likeable qualities, but in the end I always end up feeling it’s a bit too unisex, which isn’t my thing.
And as much as I love the name [name]Joy[/name], I do think [name]Quinn[/name] would require a multi-syllable mn.

[name]Quinn[/name] annoys me because all i think of is Glee and the horrible cheerleader girl (and i don’t even watch Glee)…but apparently people who like Glee also tend to like that character so is probably just me.

I’d go with a 2 or 3 syllable middle. [name]Joy[/name] is lovely, but [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Joy[/name] doesn’t flow well.

I used to only like it on boys but I’ve really been digging it as a girl’s name lately. I’ve only ever met boys named [name]Quinn[/name] though, so for me it still has a masculine association which I just can’t seem to shake. As much as I like it, I don’t think I’d ever use it unless I could find a longer full name to use [name]Quinn[/name] as a nickname for. I love to see it used on other people’s kids though!

I actually like [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. Flow has never been a big thing for me, and I think [name]Joy[/name] is very sweet as a middle name.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Quinn[/name]! Short and very sweet. [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Joy[/name] gorgeous

I know a baby [name]Quinn[/name]… [name]Love[/name] it!! I personally like [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I have a one syllable last name also- can complicate things a bit!

What do I think of [name]Quinn[/name]? [name]Daria[/name], of course. But in all seriousness, it’s a cute name on a young lady. It trends toward unisex, but the only [name]Quinn[/name] I actually know is a stereotypical, glamorous cheerleader.

[name]Quinn[/name] is cute for a little girl, and ages well (I imagine [name]Quinn[/name] could easily be a no-nonsense executive at the top of her field). Q is a fun nickname, too. I actually prefer [name]Quinn[/name] for girls.

I agree with others that [name]Quinn[/name] is best paired with a longer middle name, but I understand your concerns about it sounding a little too close to [name]Queen[/name] when using middles like [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Victoria[/name] (both of which are still useable middles, I think). Perhaps you could avoid this by using names that are not shared with well-known queens… someone suggested [name]Natalia[/name], which I think sounds lovely. Maybe you’d like something more popular, like [name]Olivia[/name] or [name]Aria[/name]?

I agree that [name]Quinn[/name] needs a longer middle name for this reason. Other than that, I’m not a fan of [name]Quinn[/name] on girls.
