I think of [name_u]Cal[/name_u] [name_m]Ripken[/name_m], [name_u]Jack[/name_u] The Ripper, and Ripley’s [name_f]Believe[/name_f] It [name_u]Or[/name_u] Not. Which is a mixed bag, but I think that just my connotations alone don’t make the name unusable! [name_f]Vada[/name_f] [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] is such a creative and unique name, and I like it a lot! If I were to actually meet a [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] in person all my previous connotations would probably disappear immediately

I like the cool factor it has, but i think i’d go for an alternative like [name_u]Ridley[/name_u], or maybe [name_u]Reilly[/name_u]. haha but i don’t think of [name_f]Sigourney[/name_f] [name_m]Weaver[/name_m] in alien. <3

Always associated with Alien, one of my favourites films. I love the name but I know two women that named their daughter [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] as a first so it’s unusable for me. If not though, such a cute and strong name.

I’m not really a fan and can’t see the appeal, personally. And add me as another one who always thinks of Ripley’s believe it or not!
It’s not a bad name at all, just not one I love. If you love it, that’s all that matters
