I never paid much attention to the name [name_m]Ross[/name_m] because all it reminded me of was the character from Friends. Looking past that association though, I am starting to like it. It rhymes with [name_m]Moss[/name_m] which is a GP name of mine and seems fresh to me since it’s not often heard. Is it too dated sounding though? I would likely use it as a middle name before using it as a first… I’m not sure. Would just love to hear some thoughts on it
It reminds me so much of Friends I don’t really like the name [name_m]Ross[/name_m] (I guess because I never really liked the [name_m]Ross[/name_m] character in Friends) but I think as a middle name it would work.
I personally love it… but that is just me.
I like it.
I know a 10 year old [name_m]Ross[/name_m]. It took me a while to get used to it, but now I think it’s a great.
[name_m]Ross[/name_m] was my favorite character on Friends, so I love the name [name_m]Ross[/name_m]. However, the [name_m]Ross[/name_m] department store takes away from the name for me. I don’t feel that it’s dated, I think it’s short, easy to pronounce, masculine, and not over-used. I have it in my list of potentials, though for me personally I think I would use [name_m]Ross[/name_m] as a middle name because I’m not keen on one syllable first names.
I say if you like the name [name_m]Ross[/name_m]… than go for it.
I like it as a nickname for [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]. In fact, I liked it so much, that’s what I called my dog, lol! Unfortunately, it means the name is ruined for me. I don’t think its dated, and I have never watched Friends, so do not have that association. I’d love to see someone else use it.
I think it’s a great choice! It was one if my favorite boys names when I was little (pre-friends). At this point the Friends association is fading, and children his own age most certainly will not make the connection.
