WDYT of Roth?

I came across it tonight while messing with my list and I can’t decide how I feel about it. I kinda like it I think? Can’t decide if I love it and would like some input

Not a fan. It has a really harsh sound and it’s also a bit hair metal for me.

I’m sorry but to me it sounds like [name_m]Ross[/name_m] with a lisp :frowning:

Now that you’ve said that I don’t think I’ll ever hear it the same again haha. Thanks

I do apologise it was just my immediate thought!

Oh it doesn’t bother me or upset me or anything. I just realized my thanks may have come off as sarcastic but it was genuine.

It also sounds like wrath, which is very unappealing. On the other hand, Rothko could work, if you like the artist.

I think broth. Lol. It’s not necessarily terrible though, I’ve heard worse.

In one of my favorite fantasy series by [name_m]RA[/name_m] [name_m]Salvatore[/name_m], there’s a type of underground cow thing called a [name_m]Roth[/name_m]. So I think of that cause I’m a nerd. Then I think of broth, then I think of [name_m]Ross[/name_m] said by someone after dental surgery.

As a nickname, it could work:

Crothar – fiddler
Dorotheus – gift of god
Rothwell – red spring

Yea, my first thought was wroth–aka, anger and violence.
Great name for a character, not so good [name_m]IRL[/name_m].
