I used to hate this name so much but now I am starting to love it! Only thing I’m still unsure of is how to pronounce it, either Saw-yer or Soy-er. Not sure which I prefer.
So what do y’all think of the name? Is it okay for a boy or too feminine?

I have always pronounced it soy-yer. It feels very much like a boys name to me (it brings to mind [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]). I have heard it on a few girls, but not enough to make it feel like a feminine name to me.
I know someone with this name and he and his family pronounce it “saw-yer” but seriously everyone else pronounces it “soy-er.” I have always thought it was a very awkward name to say… It doesn’t roll off your tongue very well… at least in my opinion. It’s also beginning to be used a lot more for girls. I don’t know if that would bother you or not.
I know a few Sawyers and only one pronounces it “saw-yer”. The rest pronounce it “soy-yer”. I personally like “saw-yer” more. I don’t think there is one solid pronunciation of it, it’s probably just preference. I’ve only known one female [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and I was never able to wrap my mind around it being her name. It’s all boy to me. I think it’s a really strong, handsome name for a little boy and a grown man.
Pronunciation for me is soy-er
It’s not my style, however it is a billion times better on a boy than a girl.
It sounds exactly like ‘‘soya’’ in my accent, which sounds quite ridiculous as a name. It’s really just not my thing.
I really like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], it makes me think of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. I would say soy-er.
I pronounce it soy-er. It also reminds me of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. I really like it.
