. a bit dated on a baby boy today?
I do find it pretty dated, though I’ve noticed I’ve been slowly warming to it recently.
Perhaps a bit dated but I don’t think it is unusable. It feels like it would blend in with other recognizable boy names, in my mind: [name_m]Frank[/name_m] “Frankie”, [name_u]James[/name_u] “Jimmy”, [name_u]Robert[/name_u] “Bobby”, etc. Not something you’d likely hear a lot of these days but also not something that would make me raise an eyebrow.
I really love [name_u]Scott[/name_u]! I can see why it’s considered dated but I know an 8 year old [name_u]Scott[/name_u] and it still totally works. I also love nn [name_u]Scotty[/name_u]!
[name_u]Scott[/name_u] is great, but then again I love [name_m]Mark[/name_m] and [name_m]Todd[/name_m] too. I would use all 3 (and probably hear everyone around me say they are dated… especially together).
Having seen Teen [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] where the main character’s name is [name_u]Scott[/name_u], I haven’t thought about it being dated. I can kinda see how it’s dated especially if the siblings also have really dated names. By itself, I still think it’s completely wearable on a little boy today
I think it’s pretty dated, sorry. I like the way it sounds though, it’s not a bad name. And I have the admit I’ve never met a real life [name_u]Scott[/name_u], so maybe if I met a young [name_u]Scott[/name_u] I’d change my mind.
I’ve always loved the name [name_u]Scott[/name_u]! You could always use it as a middle name if too outdated. Also love the nickname [name_u]Scottie[/name_u]
I like the vibes, but I know quite a bit, and it’s a little dated to me. It’s not bad, just not my taste.
I love the name [name_u]Scott[/name_u]! It’s on my own list It’s dated, but honestly would be really refreshing to see on a little one imo!
I love [name_u]Scott[/name_u] and would gladly never hear the word dated again. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is a nice name, but I’d rather teach one [name_u]Scott[/name_u] than thirty Noahs (from a name boredom perspective only).
Sounds confusing
Yep! That and Leonardos (lotsa moms loving [name_f]Di[/name_f] Caprio!)
Now I’m imaging 2 classrooms. One with a lonely [name_u]Scott[/name_u] and the other with 30 rambunctious Noahs.
ha!
I really like [name_u]Scott[/name_u] it’s a surname that is on my family tree so I have [name_u]Scott[/name_u] as a honour name to honour my family. I think [name_u]Scott[/name_u] is handsome and strong with a cool outdoorsy
[name_m]Scot[/name_m] without the second T also appeals to me and can still get to [name_u]Scotty[/name_u].
I’ve never really loved this name. I’m not a place name person and [name_u]Scott[/name_u] just makes me think of the Scots (people from Scotland), and the [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] Dog.
More recently I hear [name_u]Scott[/name_u] I just think Borchetta (and this has become a negative connotation for me, though I recognise this won’t be an issue for most people).
