I love [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and don’t find it trendy. I don’t know anyone named Aela, but I do know a few little girls named [name_f]Ayla[/name_f].
Anyway, I voted for [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
I like Aela but prefer it spelt [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] or Aila
I voted for [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. Beautiful classic name!
It will be a nice change with all the [name_f]Ava[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Layla[/name_f]'s! Aela is a very cute name, but I feel like it’s a combination of some kind.
My vote went to [name_f]Ada[/name_f] - it’s got class, strength and a nice warmth to it and is just generally sweet and simple. It fits with trendy type names, yet stands apart from them. She’s lovely. I also really like [name_u]Wren[/name_u], which again is sweet and simple, but a much lighter and airier than [name_f]Ada[/name_f].
I can’t say I’m too fond of Aela though myself, and feel it fits far too well into the [name_f]Ella[/name_f]/[name_f]Layla[/name_f] type trends, plus I’d also kind of want to pronounced it as uh-EH-luh (probably based on the Greek (Mythology) Aella - which I do prefer, however still do find to look too trendy). Also, the AYL sound in names brings to mind the word ‘ail’ and I tend to think of a very sickly child, which is not at all a nice association to have.
I voted for [name_f]Ada[/name_f] which I adore, I also like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but prefer it as a middle. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] sounds perfect to me. I like the sound of Aela but the spelling looks a bit messy to me, I prefer [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] and I think this way is less likely to have pronunciation and spelling issues too.
I voted for Aela! It looks very pretty but perhaps the [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] or Aila spelling might work better
Thanks everyone! I think we will just cross off Aela/[name_f]Ayla[/name_f], we like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] or [name_f]Ada[/name_f] more
