Wdyt of the name [name_f]Eseld[/name_f]? I love it, but I’m not to sure if other people will think it’s too strange.
I love it! Definitely one of my favourite forms of [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], she has a magical sparkle to her.
Since it’s easy to pronounce and reminiscent of [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], I think people will get used to it quickly. I have met people with more unusual names who don’t have any trouble, so I definitely wouldn’t worry about it.
[name_f]Eseld[/name_f] is magical! Intuitive, beautiful, and unique. There’s a fairytale quality about it that I love. Very whimsical and ethereal.
It’s going to be unfamiliar to pretty much everyone BUT it’s a beautiful name!!
Totally agree, [name_f]Eseld[/name_f] is gorgeous! It’s both delicate and strong and striking. Packs a lot of punch for such a simple name!
The only downside for me is its unfamiliarity: pronunciation may turn out to be a slight issue.
To be honest, Iam not sure how to pronounce it.
[name_f]Eseld[/name_f] is lovely! A very easy to say and spell variation of [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] (more usable than [name_f]Yseult[/name_f] for example) and has that popular E inital!
I love [name_f]Eseld[/name_f]. She is just gorgeous - such an old-world, whimsical and romantic feel to her (just as, I think, many Cornish names have).
I think that while it would indeed be unfamiliar to most, the pronunciation and spelling is relatively straightforward, so I don’t think it would be too difficult for people to pick up.
It’s divine, really, so if you love it, please, use it!
I’ve never seen this name before or heard it, but I think it’s gorgeous! It feels very vintage to me, like a hidden gem.
I agree with pp, it’s very uncommon, so pronunciation and spelling may be problematic for majority of people… but once you know it, it’s hard to forget.
I think it’s lovely. It will probably be unfamiliar to many/most people (depending on where you live). It does lend itself to some more familiar nicknames ([name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]…), though, if the unfamiliarity becomes burdensome.
