WDYT of these... and open to suggestions

[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
Trying to figure out names for baby #3. I’m feeling a little stuck and uninspired on the boy names. Please help with feedback, and feel free to suggest new ones. Here is a short list of first names that I like, to give you an idea of what I’m looking for. Brother is [name]Owen[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name], so I would like to avoid another “O” name.

[name]Luke[/name] (the front runner, at this point)
[name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Camden[/name] (I like this name, but when I say it out loud it sounds abrupt, or harsh… anyone else feel that way?)
[name]Callum[/name] (seems a little difficult to say?? don’t love the mumble sound at the end… But I like [name]Cal[/name] as a nn)
[name]Oliver[/name] (love, but we already have an [name]Owen[/name])
[name]Max[/name] (but this was our dogs name, who recently passed away; also too popular)
[name]Bennett[/name] (like this name, but two cousins are already named [name]Ben[/name])
[name]Asher[/name] (but becoming too popular already)
[name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name] (but we aren’t Irish… and has this name run it’s course already?)

Names I like that husband won’t agree to: [name]Thaddeus[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Miles[/name], [name]Declan[/name]

Thank you so much!!!
=)

I like [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] the best. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Finn[/name] but not with [name]Owen[/name] because there is too many nn’s. What about [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Finley[/name] nn [name]Finn[/name]???

Thanks for the feedback, Whirligig. =)

I think [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] sound great as siblings, too… and [name]Lucas[/name] seems like a more modern version of [name]Luke[/name]. Also, excellent point about too many nn’s with [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Finn[/name] (this is why I’m avoiding [name]Aiden[/name], also this is another problem with [name]Camden[/name]!).

I love [name]Finley[/name], but for a girl, actually… maybe I’ll add that to my girl list.

[name]Luke[/name] - I prefer this as a nn for [name]Lucas[/name].
[name]Lucas[/name] - See above. Really like this name.
[name]Camden[/name] - I like the idea of this name because it would be an honor to my dad’s family who lived there but I’ve seen the city now - NOT someplace I’d name a child after. [name]Trust[/name] me.
[name]Callum[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!
[name]Oliver[/name] - Like, but I do think you should skip it with brother [name]Owen[/name] unless you want to get stuck in an “o” trend.
[name]Max[/name] - I personally wouldn’t use it if I had already used it on a dog. That’s why I had to think pretty hard about my cat’s name because it’s a person name and I wanted to be sure I wasn’t going to want to use it on a kid. I think the fact the dog recently passed away might bring up sad memories too.
[name]Bennett[/name] - [name]Love[/name], but personally I’d skip it if there are family members with the same/similar name.
[name]Asher[/name] - Funny, this is the cat’s name I was talking about  So I do love it!
[name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name] - It’s ok, it just seems incomplete to me.

[name]Luke[/name] - I really like it, and mildly prefer it to [name]Lucas[/name]. But [name]Lucas[/name] nn [name]Luke[/name] is nice too. [name]Just[/name] make sure you’re aware of the [name]Wilson[/name] Brothers comedians, [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Luke[/name]. I don’t think they rule out this combo at all I just personally would prefer to know ahead of time.
[name]Lucas[/name] - [name]Lucas[/name] is a nice name. However to be perfectly honest I prefer how streamlined [name]Luke[/name] is.
[name]Camden[/name] - the city in NJ is an impoverished, crime-plagued community, so I’d avoid it.
[name]Callum[/name] - I don’t find it hard to say and it sounds great with [name]Owen[/name]! If it’s [name]Cal[/name] you’re after, I quite like [name]Calvin[/name]!
[name]Oliver[/name] - yes, that would probably be a lot of O. A good middle name. I mean, also, I don’t know that 2 repeating initials are so bad.
[name]Max[/name] - I like it but your reservations are reasonable ones.
[name]Bennett[/name] - I like this name, but with two cousin Bens…how often would they see each other?
[name]Asher[/name] - I like it, but if you’re worried about popularity, sure there are plenty of others.
[name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name] - I dont’t think it matters if you’re not Irish but I do think it’s a little to close to rhyming with [name]Owen[/name].

Like for you:
[name]Luke[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]

Neutral for you
[name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Max[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Asher[/name]

Advise against for you:
[name]Camden[/name]
[name]Finn[/name]

Suggest for you:
[name]Calvin[/name]
[name]Trevor[/name]
[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Graham[/name]
[name]Lewis[/name]/[name]Louis[/name]
[name]Marcus[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Luke[/name]/[name]Lucas[/name] - I prefer [name]Luke[/name] to [name]Lucas[/name] because 1) it sounds less ethnic and 2) it doesn’t end in ass
[name]Camden[/name] - I agree with the pp that it’s not a nice place, and I don’t like the nn [name]Cam[/name], feels feminine
[name]Callum[/name] - I like [name]Cal[/name] too, but this just makes me think of calumny. What about [name]Calvin[/name]?
[name]Oliver[/name] - great name, but I can understand not wanting multiple O’s
[name]Max[/name] - I agree with the dog thing never been a fave of mine
[name]Bennett[/name] - great name, love it, how often do you see them? would it really be an issue? Though I’m not sure about [name]Ben[/name] and [name]Owen[/name] together, since they both end in exactly the same sound not just randomly the same letter. hmm
[name]Asher[/name] - I’ve only ever met one, it’s a great name I wouldn’t discount it over popularity
[name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name] - I don’t think Irish when I hear this name, and I’ve never met one in my life so I hope it hasn’t run it’s course cause I like it

My favorites are [name]Luke[/name], [name]Finn[/name], and [name]Asher[/name].

Also: [name]Silas[/name], [name]Gus[/name], [name]Seth[/name], [name]Heath[/name], [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Levi[/name], [name]Calvin[/name], [name]Gavin[/name], [name]Devon[/name]

[name]Love[/name] [name]Camden[/name], [name]Callum[/name] and [name]Asher[/name]. [name]Finn[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Max[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] are all good but just seem pretty common right now.

I love [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] - I would choose [name]Lucas[/name] with nn [name]Luke[/name]. My absolute favorite name is [name]Luka[/name]/[name]Luca[/name], which I think is super useable and nicely unique!

[name]Camden[/name] - makes me think of the family on 7th [name]Heaven[/name], haha  Like the nn [name]Cam[/name]. [name]Cameron[/name]?

[name]Callum[/name] - like this a lot. What about [name]Caleb[/name]? It has a warm, welcoming sound, like [name]Owen[/name].

[name]Oliver[/name] - agree that two O-names wouldn’t be great together.

[name]Max[/name] - I like [name]Cam[/name] or [name]Cal[/name] better!

[name]Bennett[/name] - middle name?

[name]Asher[/name] - also would make a great middle name.

[name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name] - makes me think of [name]Huckleberry[/name] [name]Finn[/name]. Literary references are nice. Could be a great middle name.

Names I like that husband won’t agree to: [name]Thaddeus[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Miles[/name], [name]Declan[/name] - I like all of these, especially as middle names! What about [name]Milo[/name] or [name]Devon[/name]?

In conclusion…

[name]Caleb[/name] [name]Asher[/name]
[name]Caleb[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Luka[/name] [name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Devon[/name] [name]Asher[/name]

Luke - I prefer this to Lucas, I like it.
Lucas - It feels like a frillier version of Luke to me.
Camden - don’t like it as a name, reminds me of Camden Market in London and it’s not the nicest of places.
Callum - I don’t hear a mumble sound, but I do find it a little chavvy.
Oliver - Pretty popular, but if the O thing will bother you, maybe use it for a middle if you love it that much.
Max - Yeah, I wouldn’t name your son after your dog.
Bennett - How often do you see the cousins? Also would you call him Ben or Bennett more? The name’s sort of growing on me though it’s not really my style.
Asher - If popularity’s a concern you could use Ashley (though this depends what country you’re in), Ashen or Ashby as alternatives.
Fin/Finn - You don’t need to be Irish to pull this off, I prefer Fin/n as a nickname to Finlay or other Fin- names. It’s hard to tell if it’s run its course or will keep on growing.

Loving [name]Owen[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Asher[/name] (nn [name]Luke[/name])

[name]Thaddeus[/name] was my #1 choice!!! I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Thad[/name]. My husband wasn’t a fan either so we had to take it off the table as well.

My favorites from your list are:
[name]Luke[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!
[name]Oliver[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! I think it would be fine with brother [name]Owen[/name]. I like matchy matchy names.
[name]Bennett[/name] - I think this name is really cute. Are your cousins [name]Benjamin[/name]? If so, I don’t see a problem with this name.

[name]Luke[/name]- nice but a bit too short for me
[name]Lucas[/name]- like this. You can use [name]Luke[/name]/[name]Luc[/name] as a nickname.
[name]Camden[/name]- I like its relaxed vibe. It doesn’t sound harsh at all!
[name]Callum[/name]- nice name, I don’t find it hard to say
[name]Oliver[/name]- one of my favourites on the list. [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Owen[/name] go together so well- spunky, British and unusual (at least where I live)! They’re not too matchy- though the first letter is the same, none of the other sounds are. If you really love [name]Oliver[/name], that’s more important than ensuring all your children have different initials.
[name]Max[/name]- It’d be sweet to use your dog’s name, but if he passed away recently the memory may be difficult to live with. Sorry to hear that.
[name]Bennett[/name]- my other favourite, old-fashioned and handsome!
[name]Asher[/name]- like, makes me think of [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Ashe[/name] Stadium
[name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name]- I definitely prefer [name]Finn[/name]. a bit too short for me but I really like [name]Finnigan[/name] nn [name]Finn[/name].

Thank you all so so much for your feedback!!! The input really helps; you’ve given me some great ideas to think about!! =)

[name]Lucas[/name]- I don’t mind [name]Luke[/name], but I prefer [name]Lucas[/name]. Sounds more charming, especially when paired with [name]Owen[/name].
[name]Camden[/name]- I absolutely love this name, so obviously I don’t have issues with saying it outloud haha.
[name]Oliver[/name]- I agree that [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] are too matchy.
[name]Max[/name] - Wouldn 't use, because your little boy probably won’t want to share a name with your dog.
[name]Bennett[/name]- If it is your cousins that have this name, then use it. If it will be his cousins, I would advise to not use this name.
[name]Miles[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this name.
