WDYT of these combinations?

These are the newest additions to my list. What do you think of them? And/or what kind of girl do you picture with the name?

• [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
• [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f]
• [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_u]July[/name_u]

I really like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is kind of clunky and dramatic and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] balances it nicely. [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_u]July[/name_u] is also cool. Summery [name_u]July[/name_u] lightens up [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]. Not as into [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]. [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] feels modern and mystical whereas [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] is spunky vintage to me. They don’t really connect to each other for me.

I agree with Sarah1800, [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] feels clunky and for me [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] sounds a bit too matchy matchy and doesn’t sound nice together. The middle name [name_f]Fay[/name_f] is nice though

I like how [name_u]July[/name_u] feels with [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], bright and warm, but I’m struggling a little with [name_u]July[/name_u] as a name (although I think it’s fine in the middle). It feels masculine to me for some reason, but I think it works okay as a middle.

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]’s middles feel a bit mixed. I think the magical, whimsical [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] fits [name_f]Fay[/name_f]’s similar imagery perfectly, whilst [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] both have a vintage, feisty personality. In short, I think [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] are perfect!

I love [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_u]July[/name_u]! I’ve really been liking [name_u]July[/name_u] in the middle lately, I love its summery, slightly bohemian feel with classic [name_f]Philippa[/name_f].

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is beautiful, but I’m not sure about it paired with [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], two names ending in N sounds a little repetitive to my ear.

I’ve never really managed to warm up to [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], it sounds rather clunky to me. I always imagine a wise old woman bearing the name, I can’t imagine it on a child or a young adult. I much prefer [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] tbh, and I think that would pair well with [name_f]Fay[/name_f] as well! [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] as a combo isn’t bad tho, although [name_f]Fay[/name_f] is just a little flimsy compared to [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]. I feel like it needs something a little more substantial to balance it out, perhaps a 2 syllable name instead.

I love mixing styles. I think all of your combos are very pretty. Overall, I think [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] is my favorite, the flow is not “perfect” but not everything has to be.

I like what some else said about possibly switching the middles for [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], though I don’t mind [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] (I think I would orefer the spelling [name_f]Fae[/name_f] here, but that’s nitpicky on my part.)

If you’re set on [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] together I would considering switching them around. [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] flows a little more smoothly to me if you are going with the standard pronunciation of [name_f]Elowen[/name_f].

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_u]July[/name_u] is great! It has so much spunk.

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] are stunning. I’m not huge on [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] or [name_u]July[/name_u], it’s not a bad combo, though.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone

They sound good to me.

I prefer [name_f]Eluned[/name_f] to [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], but [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is nice too.
I would add an e to [name_f]Faye[/name_f], but [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] is lovely.
And [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_u]July[/name_u] sounds cool.
