I’m still revamping my list (I swear, it’ll take a year at this point!), and I’ve come across some combos I like (some I really like), but I feel like I need more opinions before I actually add them to my list. What do you think of these, and if you’re not a fan, what alternatives would you suggest? For the most part, if they’re FNs already, I’d prefer them to stay FNs (or vice versa). (The only exception is [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], which is one of my favorite honor names, and love it both as a FN and MN.)

My thoughts-
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]- I really like this combo! I have a sweet spot for common first names with surprising middles, and this definitely fits into that. I think [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] makes [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] so much more interesting than something more common would.
[name_u]Darby[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]- I like the alliteration here, but I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Darby[/name_u]. For some reason it strikes me as a dog name.
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis- I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Borealis in the middle! I’ve liked it for ages and everyone seems to think I’m crazy. I have it on my mn list for a girl, but it works just as well for a boy, I think. And I love the connection to the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].
[name_m]Judah[/name_m] [name_u]Theophile[/name_u]- Like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], I love this surprising middle.

[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Adler[/name_m] - I’m not normally a huge fan of [name_m]Samson[/name_m], but I really like this combo.
[name_m]Saxon[/name_m] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] / [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] / [name_m]Andreas[/name_m]- I think [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is the best of the three. I like [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] a lot, but I would worry about teasing with [name_m]Sax[/name_m]/Sex being so close. I’m normally of the opinion that everyone gets teased for something so it shouldn’t be a huge concern if you love a name, but I would still be a bit hesitant with a name like [name_m]Saxon[/name_m].
