[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecelia[/name]! Two of my absolute favourites!

I also have [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] on my list. [name]Love[/name] it as well.

The [name]Cecilia[/name] combinations do seem to be the most popular according to the poll! I had a feeling it might be. I actually used to not like [name]Cecilia[/name] very much, but I’ve been loving it more and more lately.

I’m a bit surprised more people haven’t voted for [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Daphne[/name], though. I think it’s a lovely name, and it’s great that it’s on your list, too!

[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] is lovely!

I really like [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name], but I am not a fan of the second middle names. I think [name]Ophelia[/name] and [name]Cecilia[/name] are such stately and substantial middles that a second middle just seems too much. But I generally don’t like second middles, so it’s not the names [name]Hope[/name] and [name]Anne[/name] that I take issue with.

Yeah, I go back and forth on the second middle idea, and see what you mean about it might being too much with [name]Ophelia[/name]/[name]Cecilia[/name]. I think I’d ultimately prefer to stick to one to make forms and monograms easier, but that would take [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] out of contention for us, unfortunately. Oh, why couldn’t one of them have been a saint’s name?

I love the way [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] sounds! And I don’t even mind the addition of [name]Hope[/name] though double middles are not usually my thing. Forgive me as I am not familiar with the saint associations… is that a complete deal-breaker? If so, [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] has a similar sound that is also very pretty, plus the tie to your grandmother is great. You also mentioned that you were considering using [name]Anne[/name] with that, so why not use [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] so that you still get to keep the anagram of the name you originally loved as well? =]

I’m glad you like the sound of [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name]!

Hmm, if it was solely up to me, I don’t think the saint’s name wouldn’t be a deal-breaker if I really loved the name. It’s not actually required by the church, but encouraged. As long as the name isn’t anti-[name]Christian[/name], it would be fine. However, when I broached the topic of names with my dh, he mentioned his only real requirement is that one of the names be the name of a saint. That seems like a reasonable request, and it’s one I don’t mind at all (except in regards to this one name combo!), so ultimately it is a deal-breaker for us. (I guess it wouldn’t hurt to at least suggest it to him, but I have a feeling that [name]Ophelia[/name] would be a hard sell for him anyway since he’s a high school English teacher and [name]Hamlet[/name] is part of the curriculum!)

[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] is nice, too, but without [name]Ophelia[/name] actually in the name, [name]Hope[/name] loses some of its luster for me. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] works just fine on its own, since [name]Cecilia[/name] is a saint’s name, so it doesn’t really need a second middle, anyway. I liked that [name]Anne[/name] would honor family, but I feel like [name]Hope[/name] would be kind of a random addition with no real purpose, you know?

I totally understand, and just want to say that both of those choices are great! =]

Wait, I just discovered that [name]Ophelia[/name] is a saint’s name! St. [name]Ofelia[/name] was from Denmark. (Probably the inspiration behind [name]Hamlet[/name]'s [name]Ophelia[/name]'s name, since that play also took place in Denmark). I just didn’t think to look for spelling variations.

This is awesome. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] is now officially on my list, with no need for a second middle! (Although now I really like [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name], too…)

I love [name]Daphne[/name], and all your combinations! Though I don’t think I’d go for [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] because the initials would remind me too much of [name]Homer[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]! I’ve also been thinking about [name]Anne[/name] for honouring family, and feel similarly about its simplicity. I recently found though that [name]Anais[/name] is a French version of [name]Anne[/name], which I think is really pretty and I love as a middle name for [name]Daphne[/name], though I don’t know if it’s a saints name. Also love [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]!

I voted for [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] with suggestions. [name]Anne[/name] I find a little dull in the middle and [name]Hope[/name] has flow issues with [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]IMO[/name]. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Gwen[/name], I think, would be stunning.

I just love [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] by itself! So glad you learned that [name]Ophelia[/name] is a saint name after all. It’s perfect, in my opinion, without a second middle name at all.
