WDYT of these family names with Leo Matthias?

I recently posted about [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m], and have since decided to go for it, and I’ve moved on to a family name. So far, these are my favorite options–which is your favorite?

[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] Brave
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]

Thanks, Berries!

I really like both [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] Brave and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u].

I don’t usually like many word names, but I think [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] Brave would be very cool. To me [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] are both very common and “safe” so a name like Brave would really spice it up. [name_u]James[/name_u] would be my second choice.

I actually really really like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] Brave, which is pretty out of character for me. [name_u]James[/name_u] would be my next pick. [name_m]John[/name_m] feels almost like a filler name to me (unless its really special to go.) I’d say go Brave…unless you’re worried he might not be brave, lol, in which case go [name_u]James[/name_u]

Thank you, everyone! I’m leaning toward [name_u]James[/name_u] or Brave, as well. All along, I’ve been trying to find an L B combination, since those were my grandfather’s initials (he had no full name, just a set of initials), and finding an LB combo I like is a lot harder than I’d imagined it would be! Most of the combos I find just don’t stick because I can’t get into them. Brave has always been one of my favorite “B” names for the second initial, but I’ve just held onto it, for now, because I don’t often have “L” names on my list.

I also recently discovered (or, rather, realized) that my great-grandfather’s name was [name_u]James[/name_u]–I never met him, but my mom was recently telling me about him and his wife, my grandfather’s parents. Apparently [name_u]James[/name_u] came from a well-to-do family, and my grandfather’s mother was very poor, but it appears that they fell in love–at any rate, they were married, and they had my grandfather, but [name_u]James[/name_u]'s parents sort of strong-armed my great-grandfather into getting a divorce. It almost sounds like a [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], and right in my family tree, and my mom remembers him as being a very nice man, very cultured and intelligent, and maybe having been an engineer. It sounds like there weren’t a ton of good guys in her family, growing up, so I feel like that says something. I generally don’t want to honor family I don’t know, but I like the idea of honoring him.

[name_m]John[/name_m] (my dad’s and brother’s name) is pretty much last on this list, anyway, but it’s just because I’ve honored them in SO many ways on SO many combos already! I feel like it’d be much better to honor my grandpa or great-grandfather above them, but I do like the feel of [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m].

@zum - I agree, and that’s why I had initially strayed from [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_m]John[/name_m], and had hoped for something exciting. I guess Brave fits the bill, but I have really grown to like the feel of [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]/[name_u]James[/name_u], so I don’t know. I usually want something a little more unusual, and [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] is a little unusual here, but [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] doesn’t feel as completely unexpected as some of the combos on my list. I guess Brave helps with that. I just wish I could decide. lol.
