Ruby—an 8 year old girl who lives in Brooklyn with her hipster parents and younger brother. She attends a private waldorf school and is very loud and outgoing.
Claire—a journalist in her 50s who never married and doesn’t have kids but likes visiting her nieces and nephews. She is a bit stern, but in a nice way.
Ella—an elegant, mature, city girl in the first half of the 20th century who wears a burgundy tweed coat, tall boots, and a beret and enjoys going to art museums, libraries, and cafes.
