Please tell me what you think of these sister sets:
1.[name_u]Tavi[/name_u] [name_f]Lorenza[/name_f]
Runa [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
-
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f]
[name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f]
-
[name_f]Rosamunde[/name_f] [name_f]Corliss[/name_f]
[name_f]Arietta[/name_f] [name_f]Morning[/name_f]
[name_f]Hildie[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
4.[name_f]Roxanna[/name_f] [name_u]Peri[/name_u]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
If you want to add any other sisters to any of the sets, feel free! I love suggestions for more names.
I really love a lot of the first names you picked, but I really don’t love many of the middle names. (Personally, I am not a fan of picking names that I’d be perhaps too bashful or self-conscious to use as a first name and using it in the middle as a safeguard… If it’s ‘too much’ for a first name, it’s ‘too much’ as a middle name too.)
1.[name_u]Tavi[/name_u] [name_f]Lorenza[/name_f]
Runa [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
- I totally adore both [name_u]Tavi[/name_u] and Runa. Not a fan of either middle names. But this is by far the best sib set of the bunch.
- [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f]
[name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f]
- As a set, I don’t see it. But independently, I think both are quite nice. [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] sounds traditional, biblical, and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] seems a little too playful to match that.
- [name_f]Rosamunde[/name_f] [name_f]Corliss[/name_f]
[name_f]Arietta[/name_f] [name_f]Morning[/name_f]
[name_f]Hildie[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
- Something about [name_f]Hildie[/name_f] I really like. Another option might by [name_f]Heidi[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosamunde[/name_f] is alright, but I’ve always like [name_f]Roslyn[/name_f] better. Again, none of middle names do it for me.
4.[name_f]Roxanna[/name_f] [name_u]Peri[/name_u]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
- [name_f]Roxanna[/name_f] [name_u]Peri[/name_u] is my favourite full name you’ve selected. I don’t like [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] at all though… Pair Runa with [name_f]Roxanna[/name_f] maybe? [name_u]Love[/name_u] alliterative pairs.
Overall, some lovely first names. I’m sorry, but I don’t love the middle names.
I love your names!
[name_f]Arietta[/name_f] [name_f]Morning[/name_f] and Runa [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f] and Rosamonde [name_f]Corliss[/name_f]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f] is good but I’d sooner see [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] with [name_f]Pippa[/name_f].
[name_f]Francine[/name_f] and Rosamonde would good sisters, imo.
Thank you both.
@yakira87: For what it’s worth, I don’t choose the middle names because I’m not brave enough to use them in the first spot. A lot of my firsts are more uncommon than my middles and I have [name_f]Lorenza[/name_f], [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f], [name_f]Corliss[/name_f], and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] on my first name lists. I choose middles based on sound and meaning in all of my lists and I tend to be all over the place when it comes to styles…but that’s my style. Thank you for the feedback.
@anyagreenwich: Thanks for your suggestions I do like [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] together and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] would be adorable.
Any other suggestions?
I feel like I would pair up the first two differently:
Runa [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] with [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f], possibly include [name_f]Arietta[/name_f] [name_f]Morning[/name_f] with them for a trio.
Also [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f] with [name_f]Rosamunde[/name_f] [name_f]Corliss[/name_f],
I quite like [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]! Or reversed, [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]. Either way it could fit well with multiple of the other names you have listed.
Oh, what about [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]?
[name_f]Hildie[/name_f] is darling, but I don’t feel it fits with [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] for a middle. Now what to use as a middle I’m not sure, I sort of like [name_f]Nerine[/name_f] with it, or [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. I also love the idea of a sister pairing or [name_f]Hildie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f].
I agree that the first names are nicer than the middle names in these sets, especially as the first names are quite original too!
@brittanyanitarose: Thank you! I adore the combo [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], that was a great suggestion. [name_f]Hildie[/name_f] is one of my favorite first names, but I have such a hard time pairing it with anything. I think I like [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] because it’s got different consonants and is more substantial than [name_f]Hildie[/name_f], but [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is also really nice with it. [name_f]Hildie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] would also be great sisters, but my niece is [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], so I can’t use it. But they would be great cousin names too!
@ihughes: Thanks for your feedback.
