WDYT of Tulia?

I’m really starting to like the name Tulia (rhymes with [name]Julia[/name]). The traditional spelling is [name]Tullia[/name], but I think I like Tulia better. What do you think - too out there?

I think everyone would say Tuh-lia. Not Too-lia. With two ll’s people are more likely to pronounce Too-lia. Although I think it sounds like a made up name personally and would suggest avoiding it altogether.

I knew it was Too-lia right away. That being said, I am not a fan. Sounds too much like you couldn’t decide between [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Tulip[/name].

I think the [name]Tullia[/name] spelling should be pronounced tuh-lia, while Tulia would be too-lia. That’s one reason I like the Tulia spelling more.

I’m not a huge fan, sorry. I instinctively said TOO-lee-ah, but I like [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Talia[/name]/[name]Tallie[/name]/[name]Tallulah[/name]/[name]Natalie[/name] a lot more.

I don’t like it. It looks like you put a T infront of ulia on accident.

[name]Just[/name] reminds me of [name]Tulip[/name]. A bit frou frou for my taste…

It makes me think of trulia.com a real estate site. I initially pronounce it Too-lia but I like it better spelled [name]Tullia[/name].

My name’s [name]Julia[/name], and I can tell you, that if my parent’s named me Tulia, I wouldn’t be very happy. All for their own though, it could be a very appealing name!

I would pronounce it like [name]Julia[/name] if I saw it, but I disagree that the ‘traditional spelling’ is [name]Tullia[/name]; this is a different name; pronounced Tuhlee-uh. It is the feminine form of the boy’s name [name]Tully[/name].

It’s not my favorite. I think [name]Julia[/name], [name]Talia[/name], or [name]Tallulah[/name] would be better options…
