It’s the [name_u]French[/name_u] version of [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I think it’s pronounced vee-oh-let.
Any thoughts?
It’s pretty! It is indeed pronounced vee-oh-let. 
Sometimes my family pronounces my sister’s name this way, as a nickname sound for her name (which is Violet). I personally prefer the English Violet, but as that’s my sister’s name, I am biased!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is one of my favourites, but I think [name_f]Violette[/name_f] is lovely too.
I LOVE it. I have the Italian [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] on my shortlist, but [name_u]French[/name_u] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] would be a second. I think I actually like it more than [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (which is also very pretty, btw).
