Recently I made up a name - Vivileen. It is pronounced ‘vih-vih-leen’, and comes from [name]Vivian[/name] and [name]Kathleen[/name]/[name]Lina[/name]. What do you think? [name]Do[/name] you like it and which spelling do you prefer (if any)?
Other spellings could be: Vivileen, Vivilene, Viviline, Vivilean.
EDIT: Means ‘pure life’ taken from Kathleen and Vivian.
To be honest, I think it’s ugly. Sorry! I tend to not like made up names because I have the feeling if it’s a good smush it’s been done before and is now a legit name. [name]Rosabelle[/name], for example. Good made up names tend to have one part classic name, one part suffix.
Wow, some harsh feedback. It does sound made-up to me at first glance, but it certainly does combine two beautiful sounds. I think it could grow on me. Or, you could give the proper name of [name]Vivian[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name], and then call her Vivileen, just like in Gone with the Wind with [name]Scarlett[/name]'s little sister: [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Irene[/name] = “Carreen”
I personally think that if you [name]TRULY[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] a name, you should use it, no matter how many other people don’t like it. I know a lot of people think the names I like are over the top, but guess what? I’d rather use a rare, “over the top” name than have yet another [name]Liam[/name] or [name]Ava[/name], so there
