A new lady named [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] joined my [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] school class today. She is a very pretty, sweet, tall, brown haired girl in her mid to late 20’s. This name is usually not my style, but the more I think about it and say it, the more I love it. What do you all think of it? I use to think of it as a boy’s name, but the name suited her very well.
Very interesting! I actually like it a lot, although I’m not sure I would use it myself. It seems like a name that grows on you.
It’s different and an unusual way of getting the nickname [name_u]Win[/name_u]/[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. However, it sounds too masculine for a little girl and that’s coming from someone who secretly crushes on [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] for a little girl.
I could picture this on a boy, something like [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] but I couldn’t imagine [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] fr some reason. I think [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] works better on a girl but that’s just my opinion…
Nope. This is a surname. I can’t picture it as a first name on anyone.
I actually like it on a little girl. It has the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] too which is adorable. I like the similar name [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] for a little boy.
I love it! I’ve actually used it a few times in name games, only for girls. I’m not a fan of any of the nn except [name_u]Win[/name_u]/[name_u]Wyn[/name_u] (although [name_f]Windy[/name_f] is cute). There’s also [name_m]Winsor[/name_m] but I like the naturey nod of the [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] spelling. Never considered it for boys. [name_m]Wyndham[/name_m] seem more fitting for a boy
