WDYT of...

WDYT of the combo [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]?

Very pretty!

[name_f]Love[/name_f] it!

Great combo!

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is a very pretty name!

[name_m]Both[/name_m] are very matronly, middle-aged names. I also think that [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is visually unappealing; [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] is prettier, and I prefer the similar [name_f]Valeria[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f] with middle name [name_f]Ruth[/name_f].

[name_f]Love[/name_f] it!! Obviously, I love [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] was on my list for a long time. I think they are lovely together.

Edit: It drives me nuts when someone classifies a name as “old-lady” or “old-man”. All those little old ladies were little girls or boys at some point.
There is nothing old-lady about my 4 year-old Sylvia

I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], but I actually think [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] sounds like a really pretty name!

I agree with this. I like [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] better than [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].

It’s usable. I agree with others who think they are old sounding. I would try to vary it up a little. I like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] ---- and ---- [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]. Give the kid options. I know both of these names are used quite a bit on little girls, but when I picture [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] I picture a retiree living in Boca or [name_u]Fran[/name_u]'s mother on the [name_f]Nanny[/name_f] (an old tv show).
