What do you think of the name Ozette? It’s a place name…a beautiful place on the coast in [name_m]Washington[/name_m] state in the NW United States. It’s similar to [name_f]Odette[/name_f], but seems a bit zippier to me. Nicknames could be [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m] or [name_f]Zeta[/name_f].
Opinions please!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] those two nickname ideas, but Ozette itself doesn’t do anything for me. I’m probably biased as I don’t really like the -ette ending on any name, but Ozette to me feels a little cute and a little contrived. It is like a zippier [name_f]Odette[/name_f], but [name_f]Odette[/name_f] is already pretty quirky and zippy and I don’t think it really needs to be taken any further.
I also love the nicknames! Either would be wonderful for a little girl.
I agree that [name_f]Odette[/name_f] is pretty quirky and zippy on its own and does not need to be improved upon in that regard. But I don’t think Ozette is too quirky or zippy. I think it is a great name, especially if the place holds meaning for you or your family. I think it would be a lovely name for a little girl!

Hmm. I love it from a semi adult who thinks babies are cute perspective, but I don’t know if I’d like it as a kid who’s constantly having to spell her name to everyone and getting comments, if that makes sense? In other words, I wish it were just slightly more common so it could be more usable but sadly I don’t know if it is. If you love it, though, then use it!
