What do you think of the names in my signature
Too many made up spellings. I’d say go classic all the way concerning spellings, changing them like that makes them seem cheaper somehow. I’m one of those people that can’t stand when someone tries to fix something that didn’t need fixing in the first place. And oh man, please don’t do that to [name]Ezra[/name]!
I agree with the spellings. What’s wrong with the beautiful [name]Hazel[/name]? Personally, I think less is more a lot of the time and being able to easily spell your name is a great thing.
I dislike Elliette, [name]Emmette[/name], [name]Rio[/name], [name]Daryn[/name] and [name]Hayden[/name]. They are all boy to me. I can’t be bothered going through the middles. If I could make some changes, I would do something like:
[name]Malia[/name] [name]Bay[/name] - not particularly keen on the name with any spelling, but I MUCH prefer this. [name]Bay[/name] is kinda cute and anything goes in the middle.
[name]Aria[/name] [name]Michaela[/name] - [name]Aubriana[/name] seems like a bit of a mess to me and [name]Aubrey[/name] is very trendy. [name]Aria[/name] is beautiful and melodic (obviously ha). Muchaela is sweet because it has the same sort of sound as the uber trendy [name]Mac[/name]- names, but with the added bonus of being a legitimate girls name.
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Cassandra[/name] - [name]Cassandra[/name] isn’t really my taste, but there’s nothing really wrong with it. [name]Emilia[/name] is gorgeous and undeniably feminine.
[name]Eliana[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Eliana[/name] is so pretty and there is so much loveliness in [name]Rose[/name].
[name]Hazel[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - beautiful name, you just need to change the spelling.
[name]Layla[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - I couldn’t really think of anything closer to [name]Hayden[/name] that you might like, but I think [name]Layla[/name] is sweet. [name]Elisabeth[/name] is very classy and pretty
[name]Harlow[/name] [name]Jean[/name] - [name]Just[/name] change the spelling of [name]Harlow[/name]. It’s kinda funny because of [name]Jean[/name] [name]Harlow[/name], but whatevs. [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be sweet and you could change [name]Hazel[/name] to [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Jean[/name] which I actually think flows better because you don’t have that distinct AY sound in both names.
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Rhiannon[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]. Obviously [name]Rio[/name] could work in the middle, but I think [name]Rhiannon[/name] is better.
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Ever[/name] - Gosh I love [name]Lucy[/name]. Like so much it’s ridiculous. I even like [name]Lucie[/name] as well, but I think [name]Lucy[/name] will be easier in the long run. [name]Ever[/name] was the best think I could come up with in response to [name]Spencer[/name].
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] - This is really beautiful. Very classy and chic. So much better than the masculine [name]Daryn[/name] ;-).
All of your boys names are good. Not really my style some of them, but not bad. The only thing I would really, really love you to change is [name]Ezera[/name]. [name]Ezra[/name] is such a great name, but [name]Ezera[/name] is a hot mess. Puckett seems like a bad idea as well. I get hockey puck, puke and bucket from it, which I don’t think is great.
I really hope I haven’t offended you. I just really wanted to offer you some alternative ideas and see if I could strike a cord with a different style of naming
Oh, I wrote on your other thread, but don’t feel bad! I like your style, it’s just the spellings that aren’t always so great.
Also, everyone keeps saying [name]Eliette[/name] is just trying to make a boys name into a girls name, but I’m pretty sure it’s a legitimate French name prn AY-lee-ette.
[name]Maleah[/name] [name]Bay[/name] - Meh. It’s ok.
[name]Aubriana[/name] Mickenley - I prefer [name]Audrey[/name] or even [name]Aubrey[/name] (though not a big fan). Not sure what to think about Mickenley…
[name]Emmette[/name] [name]Cassandra[/name] - [name]Emmett[/name] is a boy name. Not feminine in the slightest, even with that extra e.
Elliette [name]Roosevelt[/name] - I’d assume this is a boy considering [name]Elliott[/name] is a boy name. Hate the spelling. There are lots of other cute “[name]El[/name]” names that are girl names. [name]Roosevelt[/name]… no.
[name]Hazelle[/name] [name]Jayne[/name] - Spell it [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and it gets a huge thumbs up!
[name]Hayden[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - [name]Hayden[/name] is a boy’s name. [name]Elisabeth[/name] is nice, though I prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name].
Harlowe [name]Jean[/name] - The extra e bugs me. [name]Harlow[/name] is fine, just NMS. [name]Jean[/name] is nice.
[name]Rio[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] - Really don’t like [name]Rio[/name], [name]Love[/name] [name]Eloise[/name].
[name]Lucie[/name] [name]Spencer[/name] - Strongly prefer [name]Lucy[/name], love it! [name]Spencer[/name] is a boy’s name.
[name]Daryn[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] - [name]Daryn[/name] is [name]WAY[/name] too masculine for a girl. [name]Genevieve[/name] is nice.
[name]Kurtis[/name] [name]Armani[/name] - [name]Curtis[/name] is nice. [name]Armani[/name]… meh.
[name]Waylon[/name] [name]Gregor[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Elijah[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Elijah[/name]! [name]Brooks[/name] is NMS but nice.
[name]Wyatt[/name] [name]Greyson[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name], not a huge fan of [name]Greyson[/name]/[name]Grayson[/name]
[name]Marcus[/name] [name]Pryor[/name] - I like [name]Marcus[/name], not so much [name]Pryor[/name].
[name]Truman[/name] [name]Fate[/name] - Not a fan.
[name]August[/name] [name]Radley[/name] - [name]August[/name] is nice but NMS. [name]Don[/name]'t like [name]Radley[/name].
Puckett [name]Vaughn[/name] - Really don’t like Puckett as a first name. Reminds me of [name]Kirby[/name] Puckett who was my favorite baseball player as a kid, but I’d never use that as a first name. [name]Vaughn[/name] is ok.
[name]Ezera[/name] [name]Ellison[/name] - What is [name]Ezera[/name]? I would like [name]Ezra[/name]. [name]Ellison[/name] sounds too much like [name]Allison[/name] for me.
[name]Lennon[/name] [name]Ellery[/name] - Not really a fan.
They generally all sound very…trendy, and silly. The spellings are killing a lot of lovely names, such as [name]Hazelle[/name], Elliette, [name]Emmette[/name], [name]Maleah[/name], Mickenley etc.
[name]Emmette[/name] is spelled [name]Emmett[/name] and is a boys name.
Elliette is spelled [name]Elliot[/name]/[name]Elliott[/name]/[name]Eliot[/name]/[name]Eliott[/name] and is a boys name.
[name]Hazelle[/name] is spelled [name]Hazel[/name].
Mickenley is spelled [name]Mckinley[/name].
[name]Maleah[/name] is better spelled [name]Malia[/name]
[name]Daryn[/name] is spelled [name]Darren[/name] and is a boys name.
[name]Kurtis[/name] is spelled [name]Curtis[/name].
[name]Ezera[/name] is spelled [name]Ezra[/name].
[name]Waylon[/name] seems like a street thugs name, in all honesty. I really do not like it at all.
I also have a huge dislike for Puckett, [name]Gregor[/name], [name]Pryor[/name], [name]Truman[/name]. And for [name]Roosevelt[/name], [name]Harlow[/name], [name]Bay[/name], and [name]Jean[/name].
The rest aren’t that bad.
I have to say that I really love your [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] combo, and [name]Kurtis[/name] [name]Armani[/name], although I do not like the C-K subsititute.
[name]August[/name] [name]Radley[/name] isn’t that bad, but [name]Radley[/name] seems a bit silly imo, I’d much prefer an [name]August[/name] [name]Hadley[/name].
[name]Ellison[/name] sounds too much like [name]Allison[/name], and so I can’t get behind htat.
[name]Aubriana[/name] isn’t bad, but sounds very “teen mommyish” as you mentioned in your older thread. I’d prefer [name]Aubria[/name], or just [name]Aubrey[/name]. Or [name]Adriana[/name].
[name]Cassandra[/name] is a great name. [name]Jayne[/name] I like, even though I’m normally not a fan of Y inserts. [name]Hayden[/name] I do not like. [name]Elisabeth[/name] I love. [name]Rio[/name] is a great name…for a boy. [name]Eloise[/name] is gorgeous. [name]Lucie[/name] I do like, but it makes me think of [name]Lucifer[/name]. [name]Spencer[/name] I do not like on a girl. [name]Genevieve[/name] is marvelous.
You’ve got some great gems in there, but the spelling kills most of the names for me. I couldn’t take an Elliette seriously, or a [name]Daryn[/name] on a girl, or a Puckett.
[name]Maleah[/name] [name]Bay[/name]- Not bad, although I do agree [name]Malia[/name] is a better spelling. I like the middle name [name]Bay[/name].
[name]Aubriana[/name] Mickenley- [name]Aubriana[/name] has a pretty sound, but I just can’t get behind it. I love [name]Adriana[/name], I think it is much classier. [name]Do[/name] not like Mickenley in any spelling.
[name]Emmette[/name] [name]Cassandra[/name]- [name]Emmett[/name] is a boys name, I don’t see what the extra e is trying to achieve. [name]Cassandra[/name] is nice.
Elliette [name]Roosevelt[/name]- [name]Just[/name] do not like. Is it supposed to be like [name]Elliot[/name]? I like that [name]Roosevelt[/name] is a good role model name, but it is just too much.
[name]Hazelle[/name] [name]Jayne[/name]- Is this supposed to be like [name]Hazel[/name]? If so, just spell it [name]Hazel[/name]. Like [name]Jane[/name], not so much [name]Jayne[/name].
[name]Hayden[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name]- I can see why you like [name]Hayden[/name], but I am soooo tired of aden names. It is way overdone. I love [name]Elisabeth[/name].
Harlowe [name]Jean[/name]- Why the extra e? and I have never like [name]Jean[/name].
[name]Rio[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]- [name]Rio[/name] is nms, I do like [name]Eloise[/name] though.
[name]Lucie[/name] [name]Spencer[/name]- I would spell it [name]Lucy[/name], but I have never cared for the name. Also I don’t think it flows well with [name]Spencer[/name].
[name]Daryn[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]- I do not like [name]Daryn[/name]. It is a boys name, and then I would spell it [name]Darren[/name]. [name]Love[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name].
and
[name]Kurtis[/name] [name]Armani[/name]- Neither name is my style at all, though I agree I would spell [name]Curtis[/name] like this.
[name]Waylon[/name] [name]Gregor[/name]- I do not see how this is a “street thugs name”, it is nms but the combo is not terrible.
[name]Elijah[/name] [name]Brooks[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this one!
[name]Wyatt[/name] [name]Greyson[/name]- Like [name]Wyatt[/name], I am a little over the name [name]Greyson[/name] though. What about [name]Wyatt[/name] [name]Grey[/name]?
[name]Marcus[/name] [name]Pryor[/name]- Interesting… I kind of like this one.
[name]Truman[/name] [name]Fate[/name]- [name]Don[/name]'t really like [name]Truman[/name], and I do not know about [name]Fate[/name]. It definitely sounds weird to me with [name]Truman[/name] though.
[name]August[/name] [name]Radley[/name]- Not bad. Like [name]August[/name], I would probably go with a different mn though.
Puckett [name]Vaughn[/name]- Like [name]Vaughn[/name], Dislike Puckett. Also makes me thing of f*** it. Not good.
[name]Ezera[/name] [name]Ellison[/name]- Dislike both, and if I did use it I would spell it [name]Ezra[/name].
[name]Lennon[/name] [name]Ellery[/name]- I like [name]Lennon[/name], but [name]Ellery[/name] sounds feminine to me.
thanks for the input
