should i drop the name where as the two are so close ?

Honestly I think it depends on you and your friend - just imagine, when you guys are hanging out it’s always going to be [name]Layla[/name] and [name]Lyla[/name], that could be really cute, but if your friend kind of resents it then I would think about backing off if you value her friendship! [name]Just[/name] my opinion.
I’d just check with your friend and see if she minds.
I’d say ask your friend, but personally I’d think it’d be adorable if it was [name]Layla[/name] & [name]Lyla[/name]! [name]How[/name] fun!
Then again, you could always call [name]Layla[/name] by her middle name while you’re around your friend and her daughter. That should fix everything.
