Wdyt?

Trying to get girls’ names in order and work around my SO’s opinions and likes/dislikes so wdyt?

[name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Milena[/name]
[name]Lilith[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Starr[/name]
[name]Snow[/name]
Siofra
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Elodia[/name]
[name]Aislin[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]June[/name]

[name]Delilah[/name] - Hate it, sorry. Would vastly prefer [name]Lilith[/name] who has a bit of the Biblical bad girl thing but at least there is a way to read her as a strong character. I do like [name]Lila[/name], but not [name]Delilah[/name]. I’m fond of [name]Kelilah[/name] too but you might not like it since it doesn’t rhyme with [name]Delilah[/name].
[name]Milena[/name] - No sorry.
[name]Lilith[/name] - [name]Love[/name].
[name]Avery[/name] - Feels too boyish for me, but one of my good male friends is an [name]Avery[/name]. I do like [name]Aviva[/name] for a girl.
[name]Starr[/name] - Pretty.
[name]Snow[/name] - Pretty, especially as a middle name.
Siofra - [name]Love[/name] this.
[name]Rose[/name] - [name]Love[/name] as a first name, boring as a middle.
[name]Elodia[/name] - I dislike [name]Elodie[/name] and this looks too similar for me to like.
[name]Aislin[/name] - [name]Love[/name]. I’m used to seeing it with two n’s, though, [name]Aislinn[/name]? Or [name]Aisling[/name].
[name]Jane[/name] - [name]Love[/name].
[name]June[/name] - Dislike. [name]Juniper[/name] is okay but I can’t do [name]June[/name].

The only one I really like is [name]Milena[/name]

[name]Lilith[/name] [name]June[/name] :):)

[name]Delilah[/name] - I actually really like this one, it gets a lot of flack but I think it’s stunning
[name]Lilith[/name] - love, love, love, again- it gets flack, but I think it’s just stunning
[name]Avery[/name] - very pretty, one of my favorites of the trendier set.
[name]Jane[/name] - very pretty and simple, I like this one actually
[name]June[/name] - meh, it’s okay, I prefer [name]Junia[/name] or [name]Juno[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] - meh, middle territory, it’s okay, but just not really my style as a first.
[name]Snow[/name] - I’m okay with this as a middle, but can’t imagine it as a first on a person
[name]Aislin[/name] - meh, feels trendy
[name]Starr[/name] - meh, this one is a tad tacky for me, I like [name]Starla[/name] all right though.
[name]Milena[/name] - okay, I’m not fond of M names
[name]Elodia[/name] - don’t like it sorry
Siofra - sorry, too weird for me

I like [name]Delilah[/name], [name]Milena[/name], [name]Lilith[/name], and [name]June[/name]. [name]Starr[/name] looks like a stripper’s name. [name]Elodie[/name] would be nice but [name]Elodia[/name] looks made up.

Thanks for the help ladies!
SO loves [name]Lilith[/name], it’s his absolute favorite. I’m not so sure about it since the nickname [name]Lily[/name] isn’t my cup of tea so I’m not totally sold. He also like [name]Milena[/name] which I like more than [name]Lilith[/name], especially with the nickname [name]Lena[/name].
I love [name]Lilith[/name] [name]June[/name], it’s gorgeous. Stripedsocks, I think I like [name]Aislinn[/name] better with two n’s as well. My worry here is pronounciation, same with Siofra, and [name]Ashlyn[/name] just doesn’t have the same charm to me.
If it helps at all first daughter will have the middle name [name]Summer[/name] or some variation there of since having first name [name]Summer[/name] [name]Baker[/name] seems a tad choppy to me. Second daughter will probably have the middle of [name]Snow[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are family names.

[name]Delilah[/name] -

Would vastly prefer Lilith who has a bit of the Biblical bad girl thing but at least there is a way to read her as a strong character.
Sorry but I also don’t like [name]Delilah[/name]. The meaning is also listed here as to flirt and on other sites as delicate and weak.
[name]Milena[/name] - I love [name]Milena[/name] especially the meaning: love, warmth, grace. [name]Mila[/name] as a nn is gorgeous
[name]Lilith[/name] - nms
[name]Avery[/name] -nms
[name]Starr[/name] - This is gorgeous especially as a middle name
[name]Snow[/name] - I have a soft spot for [name]Snow[/name] this it’s very pretty
Siofra - not sure
[name]Rose[/name] - love
[name]Elodia[/name] - this is very melodic
[name]Aislin[/name] - I’m not a fan of most [name]Ash[/name] names but I do like [name]Aislin[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] - love
[name]June[/name] - I like [name]Jane[/name] a lot better but [name]June[/name] is still lovely

[name]Delilah[/name] - I actually like this name, but I can’t get over the fact that [name]Delilah[/name] has a fairly unsavory character from the Bible
[name]Milena[/name] - This is a very pretty name
[name]Lillith[/name] - Like it
[name]Avery[/name] - I think this is a very spunky name, I know one girl named [name]Avery[/name] and she is very nice, but sassy as well
[name]Starr[/name] -Sorry, this reminds me of a stripper name
[name]Snow[/name] - Honestly, it might be cute when she is little, but think of her trying to apply for a job one day, most people looking at a resume would not take her seriously. You could possibly use it as a middle.
Siofra - I have never heard this name, how is it pronounced? The spelling looks pretty.
[name]Rose[/name] - Beautiful and classic.
[name]Elodia[/name]- NMS, I prefer [name]Elodie[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Aislin[/name] - Pretty name, this is probably my favorite on your list
[name]Jane[/name] - I think this name is great, especially as a middle
[name]June[/name] - Pretty

[name]Delilah[/name]- Too sultry for a little girl, in my opinion. It has a beautiful sound but a troublesome history.
[name]Milena[/name]- This name bores me to pieces. I see nothing special. However, [name]Mila[/name] is a nice alternative.
[name]Lilith[/name]- Still gives me an old lady image. It has the same feel as [name]Edith[/name] and [name]Eden[/name]. What about [name]Lila[/name]?
[name]Avery[/name]- I don’t really like unisex names and this one is definitely unisex.
[name]Starr[/name]- Sounds a bit like a strippers name.
[name]Snow[/name]- I could see this working in the middle name spot.
Siofra- This one sounds made up.
[name]Rose[/name]- [name]Love[/name] it, classic and refreshing in the first name spot.
[name]Elodia[/name]- I prefer [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Elodia[/name] reminds me of elodea.
[name]Aislin[/name]- Pretty name but unless you live in [name]Ireland[/name] or [name]England[/name] it may have pronunciation problems.
[name]Jane[/name]- [name]Will[/name] forever be a classic, sounds light and airy. Perfect for a spring baby, in my opinion. I love it.
[name]June[/name]- I like it as a middle name.

[name]Delilah[/name] – not really a fan; prefer [name]Delia[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] – Like it a lot; very pretty prn. This one has recently come to my attention and I’m loving it more and more
[name]Lilith[/name] – [name]Just[/name] okay, not really a WOW name; has more of an old lady vibe to me
[name]Avery[/name] – [name]Love[/name] this on a boy; don’t like it on a girl
[name]Starr[/name] – sorry, no. Is this spelling an actual historical spelling? The extra “r” just screams stripper to me
[name]Snow[/name] – I like this in theory, but I think that’s because I am a Once Upon a Time fan. In real life, I’m not sure I would like it as much – could be great as a middle, though!
Siofra – I love this one! You get the unique Celtic name but without all the prn issues. I think most people understand enough about Celtic names to know how to say this one. I have a cousin with this name (in [name]Ireland[/name]), so it’s way up there for me.
[name]Rose[/name] – This seems more like a middle, albeit a beautiful one
[name]Elodia[/name] – Never heard of this one, but not really a fan of the “Elo” names
[name]Aislin[/name] – [name]Don[/name]'t like this one. My brain tells me it’s Gaelic and valid, but “[name]Ash[/name]” names and “lyn” names both sound very trendy, slightly down market, and a bit made up to me.
[name]Jane[/name] – Ditto [name]Rose[/name]; love this one as a middle
[name]June[/name] – Beautiful, but a little too short for me.

My favorite combos from your list are Siofra [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Milena[/name] [name]Snow[/name], in that order. Good luck!

I absolutely love [name]Elodia[/name]! To me, none of the other names compare.

[name]Delilah[/name]: Still think of “hey there [name]Delilah[/name]”. It means “to flirt” so that’s interesting. I like nn. [name]Lila[/name]. Reminds me of Delicious. [name]Don[/name]'t really like names that start with D, but both [name]Delilah[/name] and [name]Desiree[/name] I don’t mind. Maybe the D either makes the name bland or sultry to me, either way not entirebly useable for a little girl.
[name]Milena[/name]: SWEET! love the nn. possibilities.
[name]Lilith[/name]: prefer [name]Lilium[/name].
[name]Avery[/name]: Uni-sex name. [name]Don[/name]'t mind as much as others. Prefer as middle names at most.
[name]Starr[/name]: strippers name. You might want to look into names of stars and constellations or names that mean [name]Star[/name], like [name]Estelle[/name].
[name]Snow[/name]: Prefer [name]Winter[/name] as Wintery name. [name]Snow[/name] can be sweet for a [name]Winter[/name] baby as a middle name.
Siofra: Intrigued. Beautiful meaning. I like the pronunciation of how it looks. The pronunciation is shee-fra, which I don’t like nearly as much. Most like wiill lead to problems as a first.
[name]Rose[/name]: Stunning!!! Not that common/trendy. Easily pronounced & spelled, beautiful imagery. Underated name. My daughters name is [name]Primrose[/name] and we call her: Prim, [name]Rosey[/name], Prose. I like that it gave more nn. options and was more uncommon while still easy to pronounce and spell.
[name]Elodia[/name]: very sweet! I like it just as much as [name]Elodie[/name]. I don’t like that [name]Elodie[/name] ends in die. [name]Elodia[/name] circumvents that issue.
[name]Aislin[/name]: Like the meaning. [name]Will[/name] have pronunciation problems.
[name]Jane[/name]: prefer [name]June[/name]. Always think of Plain [name]Jane[/name].
[name]June[/name]: prefer [name]Junia[/name]. Like [name]June[/name] for a [name]June[/name] born child.

Thanks. Siofra is pronounced SHE-fra. I love it more than most names on this list but I’m worried about her having to correct everyone who is reading her name off a paper or trying to spell it. As an [name]Erin[/name], which is fairly common, getting things addressed to [name]Aaron[/name] and [name]Eryn[/name] and worst of all Airn, frustrated the heck out of me. I absolutely love [name]Jane[/name] as middle but will probably never get to use it as the chances of having a third daughter are slim to none.
And I think someone asked about [name]Elodia[/name] but I’m on my phone so double checking is impossible atm so I’ll explain just in case. [name]Elodia[/name] is the Spanish variant of [name]Elodie[/name], coming for the Germanic name Alodia.

The fact that you had this problem and your name is [name]Erin[/name] (and the fact that I have a super common last name and everyone in my family has the same issue – misspelled and mispronounced) just shows me that it will happen with ANY name and she may as well have a gorgeous, unique, melodious name like Siofra to make it worth her while.

[name]Elodea[/name] is a pond weed FYI.

I like [name]June[/name] ( but prefer [name]Junia[/name]) [name]Snow[/name] as a middle and [name]Milena[/name].

I like PP’s suggestion of [name]Delia[/name]. I also like [name]Dahlia[/name] which is a floral but not a very common one like [name]Lily[/name]/[name]Rose[/name].

[name]Dahlia[/name] might just be okay with SO since he likes the band [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] Murder and is at least familiar with it. Plus of keeps with his group of nature-y names. I’m really hopping that this threads will get him off of [name]Starr[/name] (which really reminds me of a hooker), especially when he’s suggested so many other nice names.
I think pond weed might just be enough to toss me off a name. The lake/pond thing by me is covered in it and it’s disgusting.
