… of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] for our ‘final’ (hopefully) choices.

We pronounce [name_f]Violet[/name_f] with the schwa (soft Uh sound) and [name_f]Violette[/name_f] is Ve-oh-lette as I really can’t get on with the flow of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]… I know they contain the same amount of syllables but I think the different stresses of [name_f]Violette[/name_f] to [name_f]Violet[/name_f] helps? [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is Nee-Uvh rather than Neev.

As some of you probably know, due to all the posts I’ve made, we’ve really struggled to find a name which has two middles (DH’s request), flows well and has meaning but we really love these.

The only concern I have with the [name_f]Violet[/name_f] combo is the flow of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] with the repeating C sounds then the repeating V sounds with [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] with the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] one so I thought I’d ask the experts as you’ve all helped us a lot so far! We’ll decide from the two which suits her best when we meet her. You can say you love them just to stop me from posting if you like lol

[name_f]TIA[/name_f] xx

Both gorgeous choices but I slightly prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f].

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] is my favourite! It’s lovely, and there are no repeating C sounds to my ear - the C in [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is really an S sound. A very light, bright, fresh name despite having two middles, which can make a combo feel quite grand and weighty.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is nice too. My issue with it is that pronunciation isn’t quite as clear (though only of the middle names, so not a huge issue), and it does feel a little on the long and heavy side - not quite as fresh and natural as the other combo to me.

I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] flows better, and I like that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is just a bit less common than [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
I do love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f] though, I really don’t think you can go wrong with either!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] is absolutely stunning! I seriously adore it. And I agree with @katinka, there does not seem to be a real issue with the repeating C because they sound very different. The combo flows beautifully, and is just lovely!

Good luck

Yeah, this is my issue with having two middles which is why it’s been a struggle especially with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] because it’s quite a hard name to work with being both vowel and R heavy but the name is just too stunning to give up on lol. I agree with the pronunciation thing too… We did have [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] too but I think I prefer [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and not 100% on the flow on the [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] one either.

I prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] but both are beautiful!

Thank you all SO much! Maybe the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] combo needs a little tweaking but I’m glad the [name_f]Violet[/name_f] combo is getting a lot of love! Both [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f] have special meaning to us so we are leaning more towards that at the moment but I think she’ll help us decide for definite once she’s here

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] is soft and sweet.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] is really nice. I agree that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] doesn’t sound totally “natural.” I think maybe it’s adding in that foreign sounding name plus having all the syllables. I do like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f].

Some other [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] ideas…

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] (google says this is another [name_f]February[/name_f] birth flower)
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] (happy/blessed)
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] isn’t a personal favourite of mine, but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] is such a beautiful combo- strong, feminine and sweet all at once.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] seems a bit off to me too, maybe because [name_f]Violette[/name_f] seems a bit made-up even though it’s a real name, like someone was trying to make [name_f]Violet[/name_f] fancier? [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is lovely, I don’t find the flow problematic at all.

I love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] though, it feels so magical, like warm sunlight, rainbows and green rolling hills. Or what about [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], which has a similar sound to [name_f]Violette[/name_f], and the same rhythm/stress.

Thank you. We both love [name_f]Violet[/name_f], it was our top choice and has great meaning to us then I saw [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] online and fell in love lol.

It’s completely me with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] together, I’ve seen it everywhere online but I just don’t like the flow of it at all. I understand what you’re saying about [name_f]Violette[/name_f]… I just much prefer the flow of it following [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] so needed opinions lol.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is stunning, I agree and I think we’ll possibly keep it as an option but we’ve struggled so much with finding a second middle to use with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and it fits in perfectly there… It seems [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is our saviour name really lol.

We’re going back and forth between that and;

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] - I’ve had some feedback that it’s hard to say but others have said it feels whimsical and magical (much like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]) which I think too. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is one of my favourite names and I love what the name/tree represents.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] - DH now says he thinks [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a bit old fashioned against [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] plus we do prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] as a stand alone and considered for a first name early on. The combined meanings give me the same feel as [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] too.p

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] - The meaning isn’t overly special to us but it’s sweet, at least. I’m wondering if it’s going to run into the same problems as [name_f]Violette[/name_f] however, with being a slightly more unusual name but again I think the flow there is beautiful.

I much prefer 4 syllable names to go in between [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]… I think they flow better but finding one with great meaning that isn’t too long/heavy and flows is tough!!! Lol. I do honestly think, as it stands, it’ll be between [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] for an [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] combo though.

My favourite would definitely be [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], if I’m allowed to pick and choose. I love her glorious warmth, fairytale beauty, and magic, as well as the colours - [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]'s golden to me, and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is a mix of delicate spring-green and soft lilac.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] is also gorgeous, particularly with the pronunciation (that is, closer to [name_f]Violeta[/name_f] than to VYE-luht). She just feels less . . . stunning (?) and perhaps less out-of-this-world than [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f].

EDIT:

I just read this again and was wondering - is there a reason you don’t want Felicity in both your potential combos? You seem to love her enough to ‘ink her in’ and take both Violet Felicity Cara and Aurora Felicity Niamh to the hospital, if that’s what you’re planning to do.

It’s not a huge deal, per say, but honestly it’s because we are probably going to use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] this time round unless we look at her and she doesn’t look at all like one.

Both [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f] have great meaning and connection to this baby and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is the only name (out of tonnes we’ve been through) that we both love and fits with both names as a whole. We both love [name_f]Violet[/name_f], it was our girl name from very early on so it just feels right for this little princess.

There is something so stunning about [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (especially with [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]) that I can’t shake, however and I’m still clinging on to it as much as I can lol. I’d hope (and DH has agreed) that whatever one we don’t use this time around will be used in the future. Therefore, it’s pretty unlikely that we will ever use [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (if we get to at all, of course) because her big sister will already have it as a middle so I’m trying to find something I love with it just as much as [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
