I love [name]Memphis[/name] Aeslyn (aze-lin) for a girl. What is everyone’s opinion? Dont be shy either I have thick skin lol i wont take offense…
[name]Memphis[/name] sounds more masculine to my ears but since it’s a place name I guess it could be labelled as “unisex”. I do prefer it on a boy. Is Aeslyn even a name? Sorry but Aeslyn looks like two popular sounds smooshed together (“ay” and “lyn”) rather than a proper name. Have you considered [name]Adalyn[/name]/[name]Adelyn[/name], [name]Madelyn[/name] or even [name]Ainsley[/name]?
it is a different spelling of aislinn because I posted on a different forum and was quickly corrected on the prn is ash-lin not aze-lin so i was trying to come up with a spelling that would convey the prn of aze-lin as that is the way i always heard it said but i was apprearently wrong. [name]Memphis[/name] is listed as a greek name meaning beautiful or established and aislinn is irish for dream or vision
there is a story of a queen named memphis and it is listed as female on some sights and as unisex on others
[name]Memphis[/name] is one of the most dangerous, crime-ridden cities in the US. I would stay far away.
I actually love [name]Memphis[/name] for a girl! It’s spunky and cool and makes me think of the town and the musical. Aeslyn is a little much, maybe something like [name]Adair[/name]?
I like [name]Memphis[/name] on boy
It’s a great city. It’s the birthplace of rock and roll. It has so much going for it, why be so negative? [name]Every[/name] city has crime.

My first thought was [name]Happy[/name] Feet; it was Mumble’s father’s name lol. That alone makes me think that [name]Memphis[/name] is a boy’s name. I usually don’t mind location names; I think they’re cute, especially if there’s a special meaning behind it. However, I do have issues with a few place names, [name]Memphis[/name] being one of them. I just don’t think it has an attractive sound at all. But that’s coming from someone who also doesn’t like [name]London[/name] or [name]Paris[/name] for the same reason. If [name]Memphis[/name] is a must-use, I would use it for a boy. I will admit, however, that nexttonormal14’s mention of [name]Memphis[/name] [name]Adair[/name] would make a pretty cool name (for a boy imo).
I love [name]Memphis[/name] on a boy or a girl
I don’t think of [name]Tennessee[/name], I think of anciet [name]Egypt[/name]
[name]Don[/name]'t like Aeslyn at all, especially not with [name]Memphis[/name]
I am not crazy about [name]Memphis[/name].
I understand why you want to keep the sound of what you hear as Aeslyn. I knew an [name]Aislinn[/name] who pronounced it the way you’re thinking. Or, she may have been too shy to correct the professor. OR she could have been sick of correcting people. I don’t know a way of spelling it though that doesn’t look like what it is… made up.
I love the name [name]Memphis[/name]. I actually know a girl who’s about 18 now whose name is [name]Memphis[/name], and it suits her. I don’t like Aeslyn though.
While I am not particularly drawn to place names, I know a [name]Memphis[/name] nn [name]Mimi[/name] and she’s adorable.
