I’ve been liking this name lately, but I don’t know how I feel about using it as a first name. I’ve always loved Theodora, but Theodosia just seems so much more lovely. If I were to use it as a FN, I’d probably call her the full name mostly, maybe Theda on occasion.
A few questions for you:
Do you like it?
What vibe does if give off?
Do you like it better as a first or middle, and what are a few combos you’d use?
Would you use a nickname (and if so, what?), or would you call her Theodosia?
Like it.
Cottagecore vibe.
Both ways, I would go with smth like [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] or [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f], [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f].
I would use [name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f] as a nn.
[name_m]Wilhelm[/name_m] or [name_m]Humphrey[/name_m] and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] or [name_u]Meredith[/name_u].
I really like it! It makes me think of [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] and the song Dear [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]. I like it as a first name best with the nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f].
Works equally well as a first & middle imo!
I wouldn’t personally use these, but I think it sounds nice with
[name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] (my favourite)
[name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]
Definitely doesn’t need a nickname, but I would feel inclined to call her [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
Do you like it?
— Yes, I really like the name Theodosia. It reminds me of Hamilton.
What vibe does it give off?
— It gives off a fancy but still playful vibe.
Do you like it better as a first or middle, and what are a few combos you’d use?
— I prefer it as a first just because there are so many great nickname options.
Some combos:
– Theodosia Maggie
– Theodosia Fern
– Theodosia Lilian
– Theodosia Mae
– Theodosia Maude
– Theodosia Rosalind
Would you use a nickname (and if so, what?), or would you call her Theodosia?
— I would use a nickname. There are so many possibilities. Teddy, Theda, Theo, Thea, Dosia, Dodie…
What you name a brother and sister?
— Maybe Ambrose or Edmund for a brother and Rosamund or Winifred for a sister.
[name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] is wonderful. So bold, distinct and charming. I’d use it as a first and some middle names I’d consider would be [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. I’d probably end up calling her [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Dodie[/name_f] A brother and sister would be [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] and [name_m]Horatio[/name_m]
I love it! It’s one of my favourite names of all time.
I feel like it gives me very bookish vibes.
I like it both as a first and middle. [name_f]My[/name_f] top combo at the minute is [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I’d use the nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f].
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] or [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]. Not sure what I’d call a brother though.
YES! [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is nice and [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] is just that much more nice!
I love it.
Creative yet classic. Bohemian without being weird.
Definitely a first name. Go for it!
I would call her [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f], [name_f]Theda[/name_f] :), [name_f]Dosia[/name_f], and [name_f]Dot[/name_f].
I’d give them equally special names at the right time.
