WDYTO this sibset & nicknames?

Sisters named [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] “[name_f]Posy[/name_f]” and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] “[name_f]Pia[/name_f]”?

[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] may grow into the nickname [name_f]Calla[/name_f] as she gets older.

We love the names and their nicknames individually. [name_f]My[/name_f] only concern is using [name_f]Pia[/name_f] as a nickname for a sibling to [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] since the nickname [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is a similar sound to the end of [name_f]Calliope[/name_f], so I’m looking for feedback.

But when being addressed I wouldn’t call them and say “[name_f]Calliope[/name_f]! [name_f]Pia[/name_f]!”, it would be “[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Posy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pia[/name_f]”, if that makes sense?

Thanks!

Calliope and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] are a beautiful sibset, I really do adore them together.
Although [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] “[name_f]Pia[/name_f]” certainly works, I think a part of me would expect a [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] to go by “[name_f]Pia[/name_f]”!

Calliope and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] go wonderfully! I wouldn’t be confused about [name_f]Pia[/name_f] since [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] nn [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is a stretch

I love [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]/ [name_f]Posey[/name_f] and [name_f]Pia[/name_f] / [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and don’t think they are too close at all !

They are beautiful, would make such a perfect sibset :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Pia for [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] doesn’t make much sense to me but thats fine it doesn’t have to. [name_f]Posy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pia[/name_f] are a bit close in my opinion.

I think these names are all distinct enough! I would expect a [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] to go by [name_f]Pia[/name_f] more than an [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], but if [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]’s nn is [name_f]Posy[/name_f] I think it’s okay.

Another nickname that I’ve heard in regards to [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is Phia, which I find a little more intuitive than [name_f]Pia[/name_f]. [name_f]Pia[/name_f] definitely works though!

I love these two together. They make a great set

I think the full names and nicknames totally work together! That being said I also agree with some others that I might expect [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] to go by [name_f]Pia[/name_f]. Would you consider since [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] ends with lia having them go by [name_f]Lia[/name_f] and [name_f]Pia[/name_f]? Too matchy? Anyway the original idea is very sweet!

Posy & [name_f]Pia[/name_f] are so sweet together! But it does bother me a little bit that [name_f]Pia[/name_f] seems like an equally natural nn for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] as for [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]; I really like the previous suggestion of [name_f]Fia[/name_f] or Phia as a possible alternative to mitigate that!

Lia and [name_f]Pia[/name_f] are too matchy for my comfort, I was borderline with [name_f]Posy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pia[/name_f] starting with the same letter lol. We might could do what someone else suggested ([name_f]Posy[/name_f] and [name_f]Fia[/name_f]), we just don’t love [name_f]Fia[/name_f].

We didn’t consider Phia/Fia yet. We don’t love it like [name_f]Pia[/name_f], but it would be more intuitive. Thank you for the suggestion!

Pia does seem a bit more natural for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]. The only names we agree on are [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], and I prefer to have at least one nickname option, so we’re having a hard time! We will keep ruminating. Thank you!

Being a fan of the tv show the 100, I’m very strong leaning to the nickname [name_f]Callie[/name_f] for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] as it was used on the show. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is very pretty, I am not sure [name_f]Pia[/name_f] sounds intuitive as a nickname. Perhaps just O? I really think [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is a stand alone name.

Beautiful sibset! I’ve never thought of [name_f]Posy[/name_f] for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f], I have a [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Callie[/name_f], very occasionally [name_f]Calla[/name_f] comes out.

I loved The 100 and named my dog [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] (somewhere around second season era)! I’m not too fond of [name_f]Callie[/name_f], hence [name_f]Calla[/name_f] as a more mature nickname over [name_f]Posy[/name_f] as she ages.

What if we switched the nicknames? I’ve seen [name_f]Posy[/name_f] used for SO many names so I don’t think it would be too much of a stretch for [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] “[name_f]Pia[/name_f]” and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] “[name_f]Posy[/name_f]”?

So glad to see someone using [name_f]Calla[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Posy[/name_f], and it’s been used as a nickname for SO many names. I posed the question to someone else above if it would work with the nicknames switched: [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] “[name_f]Pia[/name_f]” and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] “[name_f]Posy[/name_f]”?

I like it! [name_f]Posy[/name_f] & [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is cute. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] could also be nicknamed [name_f]Lia[/name_f] which removes the ending of [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] together, but I do agree that the nicknames seem a stretch for both, and [name_f]Pia[/name_f] seems like it’d work for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] more. You could switch them, as you stated, but I’m not sure [name_f]Posy[/name_f] is very intuitive from [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] either. [name_f]Posy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pia[/name_f] are cute, but kind of sound like characters on an animated show for me (which isn’t bad, just what I’m reminded of). I personally like [name_f]Calla[/name_f] and [name_f]Fia[/name_f] or [name_f]Calla[/name_f] and [name_f]Lia[/name_f] better for both, but I understand if they’re not your cup of tea.
