We don’t know the gender of baby #3, but we have a good list of girl names going. Boy names, however, I’m really struggling with. We like names that aren’t too trendy (preferably less than 200/1000 on the US charts) and need something to go with siblings [name_f]Clover[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
Here are some of the names I like (hubs isn’t sold on any of them). Any other ideas!?!
Honestly I don’t really dig any of the four names you’ve got in mind. MAYBE Alder, I don’t know. I think the names for your other children are cute and timeless, so you shouldn’t go with something that is definitively old-school. Unless you go with something that’s got a modern nickname, such as [name_m]Charles[/name_m] / [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], which is a personal favorite of mine. Maybe something like [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? You could make it a nickname for [name_m]Henry[/name_m] if you wanted.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_m]Theodor[/name_m] / [name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Riggan[/name_m] (a different form of [name_u]Reaghan[/name_u])
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
[name_m]Gordon[/name_m]
[name_m]Christoph[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]
[name_m]Reuben[/name_m]
Or, go for something nature related like [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. There’s [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], Oleander. Oleander could have a nickname in [name_u]Andy[/name_u].
I like [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] & Alder. I think [name_u]Alden[/name_u] would be better to avoid having [name_u]Jude[/name_u] left out of the -er nature name pattern.
What about another tree name - [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]? [name_f]Clover[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] are a handsome, striking threesome! I like Alder the best of your choices but agree the ending is a bit matchup with [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. Maybe [name_u]Auden[/name_u] instead, like the poet? Or [name_u]Arden[/name_u]. I actually really like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] in your set, though - strong and soft all at once, like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f].
For him, instead of [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] (ugh, [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]) how about [name_m]Thoreau[/name_m] or [name_m]Thornton[/name_m] or [name_m]Tarquin[/name_m]?
Instead of [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m] or [name_m]Otmar[/name_m] or [name_u]Orion[/name_u] or [name_u]Orrie[/name_u] or [name_m]Orlando[/name_m].
Instead of Alder, [name_u]Alden[/name_u] or [name_m]Adler[/name_m] or [name_m]Adlai[/name_m]?
Instead of [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Theomund[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], [name_m]Teodoro[/name_m]?
