Exciting news! My S/O and I FINALLY agreed on two really good options for our future bundles of joy. In the boys department, we have very different tastes, so I’d love to know what you think of what we came up with! [name_m]Just[/name_m] as some background, my S/O is Puerto Rican and I’m Italian n so pronunciation in Spanish, English and Italian is important. They will also have two last names, as is tradition, and all middle names are honor names! So without further ado:

Girls -
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f]: [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is a name we both fell in love with, as we both love the moon, and [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] is for my late Aunt [name_u]Patsy[/name_u] and late family friend [name_f]Patty[/name_f]. Wonderful women!

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Grazia[/name_f] “[name_u]Isa[/name_u]”: [name_f]Dora[/name_f] is my S/O’s abuelita’s name and his mom is [name_f]Doris[/name_f], and [name_u]Isa[/name_u] is a prefix/nickname we both love but not for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. [name_f]Grazia[/name_f] is Italian for [name_f]Grace[/name_f], after my mom.

Boys -
[name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] “[name_m]Tito[/name_m]”: [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] is my S/O’s name, and [name_m]Tito[/name_m] is a Spanish/Puerto Rican version of “junior”. It’s customary in his family for the first boy to be named after their dad with [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] or [name_m]Jos[/name_m]é as a middle. [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is my dad’s name, so it’s awesome that it honored both sides! He’ll likely go by [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m]/[name_m]Ed[/name_m]/[name_m]Eddy[/name_m] with friends and schoolmates though, as [name_m]Tito[/name_m] will be for family.

[name_m]Santiago[/name_m] [name_m]Jos[/name_m]é “[name_m]Santi[/name_m]”: I fell in love with the sound and feel of [name_m]Santi[/name_m] a few years ago, and my S/O agreed. [name_m]Santos[/name_m] is also his second last name, and, since the children won’t have it, we thought it’d be nice to honor his maternal side through the first name. [name_m]Jos[/name_m]é is my S/O’s middle name and a common family name on his side.

So what do you think? Obviously it’s not crucial that you love them, as they’re all incredibly meaningful to us, but I’d love to hear your thoughts and your own baby name ideas! [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

I think all these names are beautiful! I have always preferred girls names and I think [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] are both incredible choices, but I like your boys names too, especially [name_m]Santiago[/name_m]!

I’m not a fan of names ending in the same sound, like [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and your girl names. [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] [name_m]Jose[/name_m] is my favorite.

Oh wow, I really, really love these names. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] is just lovely, and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] is a great way to keep some of the lineage going. Your boys names are so handsome, I really like the flow of [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] actually! And “[name_m]Santi[/name_m]” is just the cutest nn. Congrats on finding some great ones you can agree on!

Great choices! I don’t think you could go wrong in any direction. And I love the familial connections for each combo!

[name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] is so funky and distinctive, [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Grazia[/name_f] is full of flair, and [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] [name_m]Jose[/name_m] is fantastic. [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] isn’t my fave, only because the flow and direct honours don’t appeal to me, but [name_m]Tito[/name_m] is cool and it’s clear you like it a lot

[name_f]Luna[/name_f] is too [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] and [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] [name_m]Jos[/name_m]é just does not do anything for me

Some great names and you have obviously put a lot of thought and energy into them and I think that’s really what make names special. On the opinion side of things, I really love [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Grazia[/name_f]! They are all very cool but that one really stands out to me.

If I’m being truthful, that’s my least favorite also, but it was a good compromise for us. We could not agree on anything :joy: glad you love the rest though!

[name_m]Santiago[/name_m] [name_m]Jos[/name_m]é is a nice combination. I really like [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] - very strong, timeless and elegant. I also adore [name_f]Luna[/name_f], but I’m not a fan of [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f].

I love that all the names you picked out have a beautiful and meaningful story behind it.
