We’re TTC so we’re not really in any hurry but we want to get started on the names so hopefully we won’t have to worry too much about it throughout the pregnancy.
We struggle with boys names, and over the past week we’ve been talking a little about them and we’ve found a few names that we both agree on and see ourselves possibly using.
They are:
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m]
[name_m]Dawson[/name_m]
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u]
We only have issues with [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] and [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u], as they are both names from twilight and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is our top name for a girl so we can probably only use one of those three names in the future. But that’s our only issue and it’s not something that we’re too concerned about.
So what do you all think of these names? Also, do you have any suggestions based on these names, we’d love to hear them!
I like a lot of the names on your list and I think you shouldn’t worry so much about “too many Twilight” names.
Since you are most likely going to have one kid and not three a Twilight overdose of [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u] and [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] seems fairly unlikely. And if you have more kids in the future you might find that you like other names -> leave that for a headache for a future time.
I love:
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u], [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u] & [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. (Many of these have been coming and going off my favorites list for years).
I don’t like these as much:
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] & [name_m]Dawson[/name_m]. I prefer the girls name [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] over [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] I think the nn options are much better and it feels more interesting while [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] feels a bit stale to me. and [name_m]Dawson[/name_m] just leave me cold.
With [name_f]Odelia[/name_f] I think I like [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u] or [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] best. They feel equally underused and have a similar vintagey appeal.
I also like [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] & [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] with [name_f]Odelia[/name_f].
