We find out what we're having in 3 days...a little help

We are finding out the sex of our baby in 3 days…I can hardly wait. We are set on our girls name, [name]Quincy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], but still have not nailed down a name for a boy. So far we like [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Robert[/name] the most, with [name]Finn[/name] [name]Robert[/name] close behind. [name]Robert[/name] is a family name, so it willl be the middle. Our last name ends in -rs, so names ending in ‘s’ or ‘r’ are out. To tell you the style we like though I like names like [name]Porter[/name], [name]Grant[/name] (my best friend’s son is named this, so it’s out), [name]Cooper[/name], etc.

So…
[name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Robert[/name] (nn [name]Linc[/name])
[name]Finn[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
or any other suggestions are requested
thanks!

My vote goes to [name]Lincoln[/name], which is a really refined twist on the current surname name trend that works well with the classic [name]Robert[/name] balancing it all out in the middle. [name]Finn[/name] is also very handsome, plus he doesn’t run the risk of getting caught up in that trend, but he’s pretty popular at the moment, as are lots of his variants - so it’s much of a muchness, really. One choice probably isn’t going to seem trendier than another.

I also slightly prefer the flow of [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Robert[/name], and [name]Linc[/name] is a good, solid nickname. Something else to think about, although I imagine there are other girls’ names you like so it wouldn’t be a huge deal, is that if you went with [name]Finn[/name], it would probably rule out [name]Quincy[/name] for future use ([name]Finn[/name] and [name]Quin[/name] - too rhyme-y in my opinion, plus as far as probably fairly short-lived cultural references go, they’re Glee characters that dated each other).

Good luck!

Cute names you are thinking of!

A few that came to mind along those lines are [name]Duncan[/name], [name]Wyatt[/name], and [name]Rocco[/name].

It’s so hard to pick just one, right?

What about [name]Deacon[/name] [name]Robert[/name]? Similar sound to [name]Lincoln[/name], without the car or president association. Also not very common, but sounds classic.

I love [name]Finn[/name], but [name]Lincoln[/name] “[name]Link[/name]” will make much more of an impact now that [name]Finn[/name] is the hot name of the moment. Others like [name]Quincy[/name] and [name]Lincoln[/name]:

[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - I’m in love with this name. Plain and simple. [name]Adore[/name] it!
[name]Cullen[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - A cool name, but maybe too Twilight.
[name]Davis[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - I just think [name]Davy[/name] is cute.
[name]Gardener[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - Or [name]Gardiner[/name]. Hm, [name]Gary[/name] is a little dated, but [name]Denny[/name] might work for a nickname.
[name]Grady[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - Like [name]Brady[/name], but cooler!
[name]Henderson[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - [name]Henry[/name] for short? Or just [name]Hen[/name]. Ha!
[name]Jacoby[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - This name is really hip. [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Jake[/name] or even super-cool [name]Coby[/name] for short?

[name]Connelly[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - She could go by girly [name]Nell[/name]! Or cutesy [name]Nelly[/name].
[name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - Literary and playful.
[name]Wylie[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - With [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Willa[/name] becoming familiar, unisex [name]Wylie[/name] is right on trend.

[name]Love[/name] love [name]Lincoln[/name]! I would have used it, but my sis-in-law did first!!
