She was born on 28th Feb and is absolutely beautiful. We adore her and think she really suits her name.
I posted in here a few weeks ago to get some opinions on the name [name]Agatha[/name] and wanted to say thank you because your feedback helped us make our decision.
Most people have responded really positively to her name with the exception of my mother-in-law (!) but I guess you can’t please everyone!!
We thought long and hard about using such an old fashioned and not very common name but now she couldn’t be anything other than an [name]Agatha[/name], she embodies it with style!
Congratulations and thanks so much for letting us know your good news! Wonderful choice and I predict your mother-in-law will come around. All best luck to you.
Oh, congrats on the birth of [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Arwen[/name]. I love the vintage [name]Agatha[/name] paired with the more modern [name]Arwen[/name]. [name]Lovely[/name] to hear a little gem like [name]Agatha[/name] has been dusted off and is now the name of a little girl! All the best!
Congratulations! [name]Agatha[/name] is refreshing. [name]Glad[/name] she can pull it off
I’m sure your mil will come around and pretty soon she won’t be able to imagine her as anything else but [name]Agatha[/name]
Beautiful! I love, love [name]Agatha[/name], that was one of my original picks for my [name]Bettina[/name] - too bad my husband said NO, but I’m glad to hear of someone using it!
congratulations! I think Agatha is a fabulous name. It takes brave parents to swim against the tide of Olivias and Sophias! Well done!
Hello! Congratulations to the OP on her daughter [name]Agatha[/name]! It’s a beautiful name!
But lilibet!–I am mystified by the implication that one is cowardly in naming a child [name]Sophia[/name] or [name]Olivia[/name]. My DW and I named our daughter [name]Sophia[/name]–in full consciousness of the current popularity of the name–and with our courage intact!
It seems to me that it is not social pressure that leads parents to choose names like [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], etc.–but rather that it strikes them as euphonic at this moment in time. no biggie one way or another, I think.
[name]Ah[/name], [name]Plum[/name]… no offense intended. I named my first [name]Sophia[/name] and wanted [name]Olivia[/name] for our second!!! We ended up changing our first-born’s name from [name]Sophia[/name] (although I love, love, love it).
[name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong… [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] are gorgeous. I wanted them both ([name]Sophia[/name] is moved to middle). I never meant to denigrate the beautiful names of [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name].
