We have been discussing other first names for middle name Poet

We love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] but [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] has moved to our top choice so we started discussing other first name ideas. We would almost exclusively call her [name_f]Poet[/name_f] though. We think [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Poet[/name_f] are sweet together but also want [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and First name to sound good with each other.

These are some of the ones we have been discussing and love.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Annalie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]

Any that jump out you?

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]!

[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous! It’s so exotic and artsy, but perfectly balanced - [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] is elegant, ageless and princessy, whilst [name_f]Poet[/name_f] adds a short and sweet eccentricity.
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] has almost an identical feel, but it I prefer [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] for it’s connotations (the Greek island, [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] Coppola, my favourite director)

Otherwise I would say [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f].

I absolutely adore this idea! [name_f]Poet[/name_f] sounds so pretty, I would have never considered it for a name but now that you’ve said it, it is absolutely gorgeous. Although [name_u]Dove[/name_u] is great too, I think you should go with [name_f]Poet[/name_f]

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] are def my faves. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] has the So- [name_u]Po[/name_u]- faux-paus. Not that that bothers everyone.

I think next to [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] is perfect.

Thank you, all, for your opinions so far. We are still loving [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] (even though [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] end in the same letters and sounds, we would be using [name_f]Poet[/name_f] almost exclusively so lessens that issue, plus we do not feel it is an issue) and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]. Loving [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] almost as much now.

except [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] – love the name [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], but it has a warm, humble feel to it and is too much of a contrast for me with the more ethereal [name_f]Poet[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] the best. I feel like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]'s sister should have a name that’s just slightly offbeat, like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] all feel kind of “standard” next to [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] for me - and I just plain don’t like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but that’s my opinion! Also - I hate to mention it, but [name_f]Annalie[/name_f], though it sounds pretty, looks a lot like the word “anally” and I think there’d be a lot of teasing in the teen years once boys figured that out.

Top Three Standouts

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] but I don’t like it’s hard “b” with the hard “P” of [name_f]Poet[/name_f] (too choppy). [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] is too matchy - both the So-[name_u]Po[/name_u] beginnings and with the same endings of [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f].

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] gets my vote

Thank you, all.

My son who tells us he never wants to talk names actually stated he likes [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. This is a kid that swears he only likes two names. Now it is three.

What are the other 2 names he likes? Now I’m curious if he’s so picky :stuck_out_tongue:

I can only remember one, [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] (for a girl). He is on Xbox with someone or I would ask the other name. I told him to join here. I told him there are other teens. He states “teen girls”. I told him he is going to drive his future wife crazy. She might need to name the children herself.

I really like [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] with [name_f]Poet[/name_f]! I personally am plugging for [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], since us [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] fans seem to be few and far between on Nameberry. I feel that [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] are a bit singsongy together, so even though I think [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f] is perfection itself, I wouldn’t go for it if you already had a [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]. I’ve never much liked [name_f]Lil[/name_f]- names with [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] (although I couldn’t say why), and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] are just meh as a sibset for me (although I love them separately!). I’m quite picky about sibsets, haha, I really have no rhyme or reason for liking the pairings that I do. So even though I’m still not sure about [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (they sort of have some similar sounds?) it still gets my vote, because I like it best, and I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f], and I think it just works better with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] than the others do.

Good luck!

I like [name_f]Annalie[/name_f] best, but [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is nice too. I think I like the 3 syllable first with the 2 syllable second, but that’s not a huge deal to me, really. If you love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], choose that one.

We did not think about the syllables. Another two syllable name is not good, our surname is also 2 syllables. Grrr. We are still loving [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]. I asked my son (treading on thin ice here) which he preferred and he stated [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I could call her [name_f]Poet[/name_f] and Isby. Our other combo was [name_f]Poet[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]. Beautiful combo but I think I lean more toward [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Poet[/name_f].
