Okay, so we are down to 4 names for our fourth child (a third boy). His siblings are [name_m]Osiris[/name_m], [name_m]Koa[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].
He is mixed (black & white). I would like to know everyone’s opinion on the final 4 names, but I would not like to know which ones you do NOT like since we like all 4 names pretty well and some of the names are family names although I do not wish to reveal which ones are because I’m more interested in the name as a standalone. The names are all old-fashioned, which we like, but it is somewhat important that the name is still usable for modern day. It should sound old but still as though it can be made modern again. Please say which name strikes you as the best overall
[name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] are my favorites
From your list and they both sound nice with your other kids names. I give a slight edge to [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] only because it has its own unique sound when saying them together with the other kids, while [name_u]Asa[/name_u] blends in a little too closely for my preference.
I love [name_m]Julian[/name_m]!! I think it goes really well with his siblings.
My least favourite are [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is a cute name, but for some reason I can only see it on a little boy and not a grown man.
[name_u]Asa[/name_u]–I immediately think of the actor [name_u]Asa[/name_u] Butterfield, which isn’t a bad thing at all. I like that it’s not super common. I think it fits pretty nicely with your other childrens’ names too!
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m]–I like this one a little less than [name_u]Asa[/name_u], but I still love the sound of it.
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]–A more common name than the others, but I think it’s a really cute name. Plus I think the nickname [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is adorable
[name_m]Tucker[/name_m]–Has a bit of a sharper sound to it than the other names, but would fit well.
Overall I think [name_u]Asa[/name_u] & [name_m]Julian[/name_m] are the best. Good luck and congrats!
Thanks for all the input. I think you’re right loismae26, [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is hard to see on a grown man. After hearing the opinions so far, I think we may go with [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m]
I absolutely love [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. I think It’s a great name. It does feel slightly more common than your other boy’s names though. I think [name_u]Asa[/name_u] fits best with your sibset and while I don’t like it as much as [name_m]Julian[/name_m] it’s still a good name. [name_m]Osiris[/name_m], [name_m]Koa[/name_m], and [name_u]Asa[/name_u] just sound like brothers to me.
You are all reaffirming to me what I’m thinking! I like the short and sweet aspect of [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and I feel I have to have [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] in there.
I love [name_u]Asa[/name_u], it is short and sweet. The only other name I like is [name_m]Tucker[/name_m]. It fits in with the last-name as a first-name trend very well.
