We might have an actual list now ! Any favorites ? Middle will be either Lauren or Wren. Thank you!!!

Editing to add: we have two daughters already, Hazel Jane and Margot Brynn. I’m due with our third girl in September.

I have a few hesitations on these names, but they are the ones my husband and I both like the most as a couple. (He acts like he’s being tortured when this topic comes up! Not an easy naming partner !)

Neve - I like it pronounced with the soft E. Rhyming with Bev or the first syllable in Ever. Like Neve Campbell. That seems to trip people up. Most of the people we have spoken to in person, want to say Nev-ay.

Evie - seems a little too girlish, maybe??

Isobel - I think this is my husbands favorite. The popularity trips me up a little bit. (With all of the Isabella’s, Isabelle’s, Isabel’s, and Bella’s.)

Genevieve- Is my husbands other favorite. I’m worried she’ll be called Gen/Genny, even if we insist she not be called that.

Noelle - we both like, but is my husbands least favorite.

If you made it this far, thank you!!!

I adore [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] with [name_f]Neve[/name_f] as a nickname, myself!

My favourites are Genevieve Lauren & Evie Wren :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Genevieve is gorgeous and was a contender for my daughter she’s elegant, demure, whimsical and romantic. She feels like she is straight from a medieval romance novel she just has so much grandeur and elegance. Genevieve has a range of lovely nicknames including Evie & you could also have Neve both favourite of names. Genevieve definitely works with Lauren it’s a lovely name.

Evie Wren is a very upbeat, cheery name that has this sing song quality to it. Evie is such a sweet happy little name that feels summery and vintage. I understand why Evie is so popular in the U.K. (where I am) she’s adorable. Wren sounds absolutely charming with Evie the overall name is so spunky!

Both of these are lovely but have completely different vibes so I think if you were to narrow it down to these two you’d need to decide what vibe your wanting

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Wren/Lauren nn Neve/Evie would be such a wonderful solution! What do you think?

Absolutely it is ! But we call our other daughters by their full names and my “mom fairness” side comes out and I’d rather pick a third name that we also don’t use a nickname for. I didn’t want to sway the polls, but I really think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] would be called Gen/Genny no matter what we wanted and I’m not crazy about that!

[name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] is probably my favorite. It has a classy vibe to it while also sounding unique and not overdone. But [name_f]Evie[/name_f] /Isobel [name_u]Wren[/name_u] also have a nice sounding flow so those also got my votes!

Thank you so much!! We’ve had such a hard time this go around. We keep waiting for a name to strike us, like a wedding dress or something lol and it’s just not happening.

Thank you!

IMHO [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] in the only one that sort of works…

I think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] encompasses several of your choices! Which, all of your choices are SO lovely. We are also considering [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a middle name or first name for our little one due in [name_u]October[/name_u].

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] could have [name_f]Evie[/name_f] or [name_f]Neve[/name_f] as nicknames very naturally.

Good luck! Any choice you make will be lovely!

I love [name_f]Evie[/name_f] with your girls names! I don’t think it’s too feminine at all.

I really like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f].

That being said, here are some similar names to [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] if the popularity is bothering you…
Esme/Esmae
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]
[name_f]Claribel[/name_f]
[name_f]Gazelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Odelle[/name_f]

Personally I dont think [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is as popular as you think it to be. I’ve never come across the name, and I’ve dealt with many schools and family groups in my job(s)… I feel like its just popular in films/media.

Neve–This is lovely. I’d never really thought about it before seeing it on one of your posts a little while ago, and it’s grown on me since then in a big way! It has a such a lovely, gentle-yet-distinctive sound. I can see potential pronunciation issues, but the pronunciation you’re going for is so simple that I doubt anyone would need more than one correction!

Evie–I love this too–it’s sweet but has plenty of subtance, and I think it fits nicely with your daughters’ names. You don’t seem super enthusiastic about it, though, which makes me feel like maybe it’s not the one for you.

Isobel–If I’m being completely honest, I’ve never been the biggest fan of this name (any spelling). That being said, it really is a beautiful name–just not my personal favorite. It does fit nicely with your daughters’ names, and I don’t think the popularity is a huge issue if that’s the only thing holding you back!

Genevieve–Same as [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Not my personal favorite, but a beautiful name with lots of great qualities. I can see it being shortened to [name_f]Gen[/name_f] casually (maybe just because that’s the case with the one I know), but I don’t think it would be an all-the-time nn unless you wanted it. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] “Evie” would be sweet if you like that!

Noelle–I really like this, but it sounds like maybe you and your partner are overall more lukewarm on it? Very pretty name though!

Overall [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Neve[/name_f] are my favorites from your list, but I think [name_f]Neve[/name_f] is my favorite for you! Good luck! :yellow_heart:

I find [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] the most fitting with your girls’ names. I also like the idea of keeping the one syllable middle trend going.

It seems you’re into the “ev” sound- [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] could have the nickname “Evie” or “Neve” (which I wanted to pronounce like Niamh/leave with an N when I read it). It’s a little longer than your girls but I think it still works well enough. I wouldn’t default to calling someone named [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Gen/Genny unless they asked; but if it would bother you if your future daughter chose Gen/Genny I would avoid it… Maybe [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f] could work as well…

I do think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is a bit too nickname-y. Maybe [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]?

[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] I think works nicely too with your girls and would probably be my second pic after [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] were it not for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] being able to incorporate two of your other options.

I think [name_f]Neve[/name_f] just isn’t as intuitive/easy as your current kids’ names so that would be my last pick for you.

Honestly naming is so hard I struggled when it came to my daughter (born 3.2.21) it’s just such a huge decision and as a name nerd you’ve seen so many options, consider so many names and I too wanted the ‘wedding dress’ effect with a name. For me that didn’t happen it was just that every time I thought about my daughter her name was [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] was just constantly lingering about just seemed like the best one out the bunch then I started falling in love with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and now I can’t imagine my daughter being called anything else. So maybe you’ll experience a [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] Situation just have a slow burner of a name

Thank you all soooo much!!! This was so helpful!!! I think this has helped me eliminate a few names and really narrow down what I’m looking for. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I had a great conversation last night and we came up with a new final two! [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and a ringer we both really like. I’ll post a new poll!

[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is lovely, but it does feel a bit incomplete! [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is also lovely, but very popular— less so with this spelling! [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] is very nice but I do think that that pronunciation is less intuitive and possibly problematic? [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] is my favorite, and I don’t think that Gen/Genny is inevitable, since [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] “Gen” isn’t all that common. [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] is fine but the L sounds do run into each other a bit for me!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

If you call her by your chosen nickname all the time then I doubt she will be called Gen/Genny.
