I am due with baby boy #2 in two months and me and my husband can’t agree on a name for the life of us! Our oldest is [name_m]Ryker[/name_m] (3 yrs old) and he thinks his baby brother should be “monster truck jam truck”.
My husband came up with the name Truxton honoring our 3 yr olds idea. Haha! I like the name but I’m not in love. I love the name [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] and others I have thought of are [name_m]Archer[/name_m], Dashell, [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Bridger[/name_m], and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u].
Me and my husband can’t agree on anything and we need help with any suggestions. A lot of people seem to be loving Truxton but I feel it’s a bit harsh and this baby’s middle name will be [name_u]Carson[/name_u]=too many “-on” endings maybe. Help please!

When I saw the title my immediate thought was [name_m]Bridger[/name_m]. I see that that is a name you’re considering. I also thought of [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], which you’re also considering.
From your other suggestions I do like [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m].
I immediately thought of [name_m]Archer[/name_m], but only if you don’t have a problem with repeating “er” sounds, and reading your last name I realized it wouldn’t sound good at all with two “Ar” sounds ([name_m]ARcher[/name_m] [name_u]CARson[/name_u]).

I really like Truxton (but I have a thing for “x” names, my kids are [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and Xaria). I do see your not wanting the same ending sounds for first and middle name. CAN you come up with a different ending for TRUX?

p.s. I know the ordeal when you and hubby can’t agree. Hubby actually picked the first two kids names ([name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]) but wanted “awful” name for our third. I wanted an “x” in the name and I LOVED the names Xara, Xaria and Xsara (yes, like the car) so he finally agreed on Xaria (we still call her xara for NN) and can’t imagine her with any other name. SO, in the end you will both love the name you chose!
Since [name_m]Ryker[/name_m] (with a T) can be a Scandinavian name, I thought I would throw some suggestions out there even though the other names on your list don’t seem to be this style.

Thank you all so much! I broke it to the hubby yesterday that I just can’t agree on Truxton. It is a great name but I just don’t see us naming our cold that. And he doesn’t like [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] (my favorite) so we will just have to find a compromise. I still like [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], and Dashell buy hubby thinks they are too soft. I also liked [name_m]Axel[/name_m] but I have noticed I just can’t personally commit to names that have X’s in them. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! And don’t you just love the things 3 yr olds come up with?!
