i came on here and sent out a request for narrowing down our name list a few days ago. Due to respiratory complications, though, we have a c-section now scheduled in two days. We decided we don’t want to wait until after she’s born with all the stress of having a newborn, three boys, and having to choose a name.

Are these options for a girl? If so, I’m not crazy about any of them. I would love to see [name_u]Carmen[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and Carmeline, not so much [name_u]Kody[/name_u]. I think Carmeline gets my vote 
I think I vote [name_u]Kody[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Carmela[/name_f] but have never heard Carmeline and it reminds me a little of Carmindy from a 2000s TV show and so sounds made up, even though it may not be. I think [name_u]Tate[/name_u] has some teasing potential for a girl.
I love [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and Carmeline. [name_u]Kody[/name_u] is fine.
[name_u]Tate[/name_u] sounds bright and cheerful, artistic and unexpected but still very familiar, and doesn’t make me think of any gender in particular.
I love Carmeline. It’s unusual and sounds fresh but historically grounded, not made up. Related names are well-known so it doesn’t sound weird or hard to learn. It has plenty of nickname options, but because it’s not common there’s no one single expected nickname and she could just as easily go by the full Carmeline all the time. It is more feminine than [name_u]Tate[/name_u], but just as spunky.
our name choices are very uncommon but yes they are for a girl. [name_u]Kody[/name_u] and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] are both UNISEX. Carmeline is a very real, hebrew name. I’m sorry if i’m stepping out of line and you all have freedom of speech but why do you have to reply when all you’re doing is making me angry. I don’t know if you just wanted me to know your opinion or you were trying to get me to not choose these names but these names are beautiful names me and my hubby both love so much. Because i’m sure the names you chose for your kids are the best fucking names ever thought of and you have some sort of insight that i don’t have. Please don’t respond to my original post or to this reply. Everyone can use someone else’s forum to piss people off.
I can’t say I’m huge on any of them. If you must choose one of these, then choose [name_u]Tate[/name_u].
I really like Carmeline! It’s unusual, but it’s similar enough to “common” names like [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] and [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] that it feels very wearable. It’s a very pretty name and has all kinds of fun nickname potential! While I like [name_u]Kody[/name_u], I’m always hesitant about non-typical spellings. I have a good friend with a non-typical spelling name and it drives her a bit crazy always having to correct people. But, if you don’t really care about that, [name_u]Kody[/name_u] is very cute! I’m less of a fan of [name_u]Tate[/name_u] - no particular reason, I just don’t love [name_u]Tate[/name_u] for either gender.
Carmeline would be my favorite - [name_f]Lina[/name_f] could be a nickname.
I’m sorry for the late warning but many people on here don’t like more male unisex names on girls and they are very opinionated about it! I however do love many unisex names… of your options I like [name_u]Kody[/name_u] the best… I was also thinking that Kodi would be adorable as well. Good luck with everything!

I am sure you will settle on the perfect name for your daughter. One of them probably feels more right to you than the others already. If you want another opinion, I vote [name_u]Tate[/name_u] all the way. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name
I don’t really like any of them, of the three the most feminine is Carmeline

I’d prefer the simpler [name_u]Carmel[/name_u] - & Carmeline could be a nickname for [name_u]Carmel[/name_u] - but Carmeline is interesting & pretty. Carméline is a rare [name_m]French[/name_m] name (see MeilleursPrenoms.com).
