[name_m]Hi[/name_m], we narrowed it down to just 5 names but we can’t decide on which one we want to use. We love all of them, even though they’re all fairly popular. If you could leave opinions or advice that would be great. This is our first kid and we want him to have the perfect name. The middle name will be [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] which is his dad’s name.
[name_u]Aidan[/name_u] - I know, this one is very popular right now but we just love it. We might call him AJ if we end up choosing this one.
[name_u]Evan[/name_u] - This one is a nod to his grandfather, [name_m]John[/name_m], as [name_u]Evan[/name_u] is a variation of [name_m]John[/name_m].
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] - Also a nod to his grandfather [name_m]John[/name_m].
[name_u]Easton[/name_u] - His dad is a huge baseball fan, we like the name [name_u]Easton[/name_u] and it’s also a popular baseball gear brand.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] - We just really like the sound of this one.
[name_u]Aidan[/name_u] - I really like this name too. I’m just very glad that you spelled it this way. It looks so much nicer than [name_u]Aiden[/name_u]/[name_u]Ayden[/name_u]/[name_u]Aidyn[/name_u] in my opinion. It’s gentle yet also has a rough and tumble boy feel.
[name_u]Evan[/name_u] -I like that it’s to honor grandpa, but it’s not my favorite. Really can’t say way. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a little bland.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] -I love this. Such a timeless name. [name_m]How[/name_m] could you not love a [name_m]Jack[/name_m]? Seems like such a smart, nice and fun guy.
[name_u]Easton[/name_u] -This is okay. A little trendy. I’m a huge baseball fan too, & love the idea of ballplayer names like [name_u]Cal[/name_u], [name_m]Nolan[/name_m], & [name_m]Gibby[/name_m]. .
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] - I like it. It’s a little 90s sounding, but also a cool name. Sounds like it could be an artist or a ball player.
[name_u]Evan[/name_u] and [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] are my favorites. I have always like how [name_u]Evan[/name_u] is versatile and understated, but not overused.
[name_u]Aidan[/name_u] - If you love it, use it! [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] is such a nice name, and honestly I hear a lot more [name_m]Caden[/name_m]/[name_u]Brayden[/name_u]/[name_u]Jaden[/name_u], etc than just plain [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] nowadays. I also like the meaning of this name, “fiery.”
[name_u]Evan[/name_u] - [name_u]Evan[/name_u] strikes me as being underused. It’s a nice solid name and an interesting way to honor a [name_m]John[/name_m]. This may be my top pick for you.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] - [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is my favorite boy name, so I understand the appeal, but it is truly hugely popular. If it’s your favorite, you should definitely use it, but I think you have more interesting options. Also, I’m not crazy about the flow of [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m].
[name_u]Easton[/name_u] - A little trendy, but the baseball connection is nice and I do kind of like the sound of [name_u]Easton[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m].
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] - “We just really like the sound of this one” isn’t as convincing as the reasoning behind your other picks. [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] would probably be my last choice of these five anyway, but the lack of meaning definitely puts it at the bottom for me.
I know I’m in the minority but I’ve never seen the appeal of [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. It’s also quite popular along with [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]/[name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]/[name_m]Jax[/name_m].
My favorites from your list are [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] and [name_u]Easton[/name_u] but I also like [name_u]Evan[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] has the best flow.
I would choose [name_u]Easton[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. The second is [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. The others sound tired and just is one in a crowd.
I love [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]! I think [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] could grow on me because it’s got great flow and strong significance. In fact the only one I’m not a fan of is [name_u]Easton[/name_u]. It seems trendier than the others and a weaker link.
