Okay so we have finally decided we both [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Seth[/name] but im worried that with [name]Seth[/name] and [name]Jay[/name] both being one syllable it might not work. Last name rhymes with “shooter”, does [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] Shooter work?
[name]Jay[/name] is because its paternal grandpa and daddy’s middle name.
I considered doubling the middle name maybe [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] or [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]? ([name]Thomas[/name] was my grandfathers middle name). I cant decide if that flows well or not, if it does which one is better?
Any other doubling suggestions? Or is [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] okay?
I don’t personally like [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] together, but flow isn’t the most important thing. If you both love [name]Seth[/name] and [name]Jay[/name] is honoring someone, and you love the combination just use it! I really like [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name], that is a nice name. I use two middle names for my children though, so I guess I’m kind of biased. Either way, [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] is a nice name.
I agree that [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] isn’t the best ([name]LOVE[/name] [name]Seth[/name], though!). I think [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] would be really handsome, not too much at all.
I don’t know if this feels less like honoring them, but would you consider something like [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jayson[/name] or [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jaymes[/name]/[name]Seth[/name] [name]Jaymeson[/name]? Something like that? I would prefer the [name]Jason[/name]/[name]James[/name]/[name]Jameson[/name] spellings, but if [name]Jaymeson[/name] helps you feel like you’re honoring more, I think it’s okay.
Thanks everyone! [name]Glad[/name] everyone is liking [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] Does it flow as well once the surname is tacked on too though?
[name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] IS just too short for me in itself.
I think [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] Shooter is adorable. I know what you mean, though–I plan on using two MNs myself, and something like [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name]/[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Grace[/name] sounds perfect, but it is a bit more of a mouthful with the LN attached. I would go for it.
[name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] is the best of your options imo - very handsome and masculine. Would you consider a variation on [name]Jay[/name]?
I like the addition of [name]Thomas[/name] or converting [name]Jay[/name] into [name]James[/name] or [name]Jason[/name]. I do want to point out, in case you didn’t know, that [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is a famous clock maker, which may be why it sounds so nice to people. Not that it’s a reason not to use it - just more information.
[name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] Shooter. I like it… doesn’t sound too long and you are honoring people, so that’s great. If you think it’s just too long, maybe you could do [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] J. Shooter… with just the initial J? or is that weird? Most people will only call him [name]Seth[/name] anyway and I love that!
I think [name]Seth[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jay[/name] Shooter is better than [name]Seth[/name] [name]Jay[/name] Shooter. Like a previous poster though, our kids are getting two middle names so I might be biased
Very rarely does there full name get used (that’s for when there’s big trouble!)
