the middle name is not relevant and don’t care for sibsets.

discarded names were [name_m]Leonard[/name_m], [name_m]Alphonse[/name_m], [name_m]Vincent[/name_m], [name_m]Stephen[/name_m], and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
It always depends on the last name, but of the three names given, my choice would be [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. I’d try to keep it [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and not shorten it to [name_m]Pete[/name_m].
These are all great names! I’m gravitating toward [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], you really can’t go wrong with either (or both.) I think I like [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] slightly more, but only barely.
I’m voting [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]. If your husband hasn’t a client named [name_m]Peter[/name_m] he will eventually (honestly [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is such a popular name around middle aged men that literally one could walk in tomorrow) and [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is okay but not great like [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
I hate the name [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] but will suggest [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. It actually sounds like a name. If not, I do like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] more than the other two.
I like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]. You could nickname [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] “[name_m]Law[/name_m]” since your husband is a lawyer haha
I chose [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], mainly because [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is forever stained for me and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] reminds me of the main character from the show “Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m]”.
I prefer [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
I like [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. Very sweet and handsome. [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] would be my second pick.
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is my favourite of the three (I’ve been gravitating to short names recently), but with the ones that you’ve discarded, [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] sounds like the best fit for you.
All three are handsome under-used classics, but I agree with previous commenters that if it’s important to you to avoid names of your husband’s clients, [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is the riskiest choice: it was around the USA top 50 for almost all of the 20th century, and only dropped out of the top 100 about 20 years ago. [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] left the top 100 more than 45 years ago, and [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] was barely there 100 years ago, so those two are far safer bets!
I love all these names, but I think [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] fits your style more.
Personally, I’m going with [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. I don’t mind [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], but I’m not too keen on [name_m]Hugh[/name_m]. However, [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is quite popular. Well, it used to be. It was when I was young. However, if you don’t mind the popularity, that’s okay.
I prefer [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] to [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is hard to pair with many last names, and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] feels so very buttoned-up to me, and I don’t like the nickname options. [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] is also pretty buttoned-up, but [name_u]Ren[/name_u] and [name_m]Law[/name_m] make intriguing nicknames (although maybe not [name_m]Law[/name_m] with a lawyer for a dad).
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]/Lugh as similar names ? I hate [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] and don’t care much about [name_m]Peter[/name_m]
These are all great names. I like [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] best. It is solid with history but is rarely used or heard today. It also has a literary vibe to me, perhaps from the author D.H. [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
I love [name_m]Hugh[/name_m]! It’s magical when a name can be simple, sweet, strong, down-to-earth and sophisticated all at once. [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] are lovely too, though.
