We’re welcoming our 4th boy next week and need name advice. I prefer traditional names that are uncommon but strong. Our boys are [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]. Sweet [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] died shortly after birth. We will be welcoming our 4th son and are hoping for input on our list. Our last name starts with an E and has a strong ‘s’ sound in it so names like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] are too rhyming. After losing [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] we tried for another baby for several years before getting pregnant. After easy pregnancies this one has been difficult and high risk with bedrest. Very stressful! I’d like a name that reflects the story - strength, a gift, light!
[name_m]John[/name_m] is not the most exciting name but is a family name Here s our list so far:
Congrats on your soon to arrive 4th son and sorry for your loss. I can understand the importance of finding a name to reflect the importance and magnitude of this little one…
[name_m]Lucien[/name_m] [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] really stands out to me, and I love the meanings - greatest light. [name_u]Love[/name_u] this combo, which easily gets my vote.
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]Leif[/name_m] or [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] are also lovely.
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] will ultimately get shortened to [name_u]Sam[/name_u] which doesn’t have the same depth or appeal as your other kids names imo.
Some other names with great meanining:
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - blessed
[name_m]David[/name_m] - beloved
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] - gift of God
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] - brave
I am so sorry to hear about baby [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]. Having this baby after suck a difficult pregnancy must be so exciting!! I really like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] it just seems so strong to me. All the middle names are good
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] is a huge favourite of mine, so I have to put a vote in for that: [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] really stands out to me.
And I totally agree that [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] really leaps out as well because of the meaning (plus it’s a gorgeous name!)
I like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] best as a match for your other boys. But all of these names are great. I wish you and your family blessings going forward.
I really like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m].
You mentioned in your blurb that this baby is a gift to you. [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] means gift of Jehovah. That way you can honor the fact this baby is a gift and honor [name_m]John[/name_m]. [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] would be a sweet name for your baby boy.
So sorry to hear of your loss but congratulations on your new baby boy.
I love all of your boys’ names so much. I think that [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] would be lovely with them. I also like the suggestion of [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] from someone above.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I like [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m].
I like the name best, but also if you used [name_m]Samson[/name_m] or [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] you would be repeating a first initial with one of your existing boys’ names ([name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m].)
Best of luck with your decision and everything else.
