I like the literary connection to HG. [name_m]Wells[/name_m] and I think it could definitely grow on me. It gives me a similar vibe to [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] and [name_u]Keats[/name_u] which I like

I have always wanted to love this name, because it is a family name, but for some reason I just hear “swells” when I think of it, which is pretty unfortunate.

That being said, that may be just entirely in my head, and it is a perfectly lovely name.

I adore it! Though I’ve heard some say it sounds pretentious or uppity, which I can sort of see.

Always gave me a very literary, posh vibe… if I met a little boy named [name_m]Wells[/name_m] I would instantly think he is going places in life

I really like [name_m]Wells[/name_m]. To me it feels literary but not stuffy. There’s a softness and light heartedness to it. I feel like it’s a more streamlined [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] or [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m].
