I posted quite a while back about possible names for baby #4, and the feedback was so helpful- thank you!!! I think my husband and I have a girl’s name pretty much figured out, but we are still in need of a boy’s name. We will not know the gender until birth. Our children’s names are [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name]. What would you pair as a brother with these three names??? So far, we are considering [name]Aaron[/name], [name]Aiden[/name] ( I know, SO popular), [name]Isaac[/name] and [name]Levi[/name]. Please help, we’re stuck!!!
I like [name]Isaac[/name] the best out of the options you’ve listed. It has 2 syllables and flows well with your other kids names. I also like [name]Aaron[/name] but think [name]Aaron[/name] and [name]Owen[/name] are too similar.
[name]Aaron[/name] - Great name. [name]Aaron[/name] and [name]Owen[/name] might cause an occasional wrong child responding but said aloud they really aren’t that similar.
[name]Aiden[/name] - Popular but for a reason. BUT [name]Ethan[/name] is even more popular in the US so if you love it, why not use it.
[name]Isaac[/name] - I think I like this best! [name]Love[/name] the name, sounds wonderful with the other names, repeats the I but sounds entirely different
[name]Levi[/name] - Okay, I’ll be honest. My favorite name but its also my grandson’s name. BUT it just doesn’t flow quite as nicely and I like the vowel sounds of [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] or [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Aiden[/name] together.
Thank you for your opinions! After a long discussion last night, I think we have narrowed it down to [name]Aaron[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name]. My husband’s favorite is [name]Isaac[/name], my only concern is that our last name ends in -ck. Would that sound weird with [name]Isaac[/name]? And [name]Aaron[/name] is my favorite at the moment. So, what do you think? [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Aaron[/name] or [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name]? Any other boy’s names we aren’t thinking of that would sound great with [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name]??? Thank you for all of your help!
I do think the double -ck sound might mak [name]Isaac[/name] sound a little sing-songy. Of your list, I like [name]Aaron[/name] the most. But with [name]Aaron[/name],all three boys’ names would end with the -en sound, which is a bit repetitive.
Our last name is [name]Malick[/name] ( [name]Mal[/name]- pronounced like pal). The vowel theme was not intentional, but now that this is our 4th, and probably final child, I feel like we need to stick to it. Many people that I ask about it say they don’t even notice that all of our children have names starting with a vowel, but I do!! If we went with [name]Aaron[/name], would the -n ending on all of the boy’s names be too repetitive? I don’t feel like our names are trendy, just popular.
And no, we do not have a grandson, that was a comment that someone else posted! That would be weird.
I know a family with an [name]Isabelle[/name], an [name]Owen[/name] and an [name]Austin[/name]. [name]Austin[/name] might be a nice alternative to [name]Aidan[/name].
I think [name]Isaac[/name] would sound odd with an -ck last name. I also think [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] look too similar for siblings. I think [name]Aaron[/name] fits much better, though [name]Levi[/name] would be my pick if you hadn’t narrowed down.
[name]Aaron[/name] is probably the best choice (of your favorites), however I like the recent suggestions of [name]Austin[/name] and [name]Asher[/name]. Yay for vowels!
Oooh, I love the suggestion of [name]Asher[/name]! or [name]Archer[/name]? [name]Aaron[/name] is my favorite from your original list. [name]Isaac[/name] is much too similar to [name]Isabelle[/name] imo and might sound sing-sony with the two syllable last name also ending in -ck. I definitely notice the vowels and don’t blame you for wanting to stick with it. The boys ending in -en doesn’t bother me as much as it is such a strong sound for boys in the past 10 years or more.
Wow, thank you so much for all of the great opinions and suggestions! [name]Reading[/name] all of this has been so helpful to me. Unfortunately, [name]Austin[/name] would not work for us. But I do love [name]Asher[/name], and have asked my husband about it before, I just might have to try again!! The middle name will probably be [name]James[/name], but we are open to suggestions for middle names as well. For reference, our other kids are [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Christine[/name], [name]Owen[/name] [name]David[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Daniel[/name]. ([name]Christine[/name] and [name]David[/name] are me and my husband’s middle names)
Thanks again for all of your help, I really do appreciate it!
