My heart melts at the sight of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is my 2nd choice.
I think you should go with what you love foremost. That being said, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] was the one I voted for, because it just seemed like a very warm, very happy name and that is what I go for, personally, when considering names for my kids. My second choice would be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], because maybe you could get away with calling her [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] B. or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Bea[/name_f] (which reminds me a lot of the very fun [name_f]Junie[/name_f] B. [name_m]Jones[/name_m]).
Ughhh yes… [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is my [name_m]FAVORITE[/name_m]. Like all time. But I just can’t DH on board. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is my second favorite and probably his second least favorite lol.
It’s a bit sentimental to me because my nickname growing up was [name_u]Ali[/name_u] [name_f]Bee[/name_f], so I think having a little girl being called [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] would be so sweet to see! Thank you for your vote!
I still adore the beautiful, spunky, sunny [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. As I said in the other thread, I do not find it boring at all. It’s actually vibrant and full of live.
Thank you! I so appreciate your input!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is my favourite, followed by [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]. I’m afraid I’m with your husband on [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] - it just doesn’t wow me very much, but then again, I’ve never been fond of [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. All I think of is the Trix cereal and “silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!”, which is odd I know, but I just can’t shake that association.
Another vote for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]- hope you can convince your husband! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is such a sweet nickname and all the more special for your nickname having been [name_u]Ali[/name_u] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be lovely, but if you aren’t usually a two middle person you might find it a bit much. If your husband likes [name_f]Jane[/name_f] though that might help sway him over?
I like a lot of these, but I think my favorites are [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]! It’s hard to decide, but I think I’m leaning toward [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. Which surprises me, because earlier I didn’t like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], but today I quite do! [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]'s been sneaking up on me lately. She’s so gorgeous.
I voted for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], but I also like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].
If you really love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], I wouldn’t compromise with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Your husband may not like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] now for this daughter, but maybe it’ll grow on him in a couple of years. (Names can do that. I remember I didn’t really like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] myself when I first started posting here, but after awhile, I started to really like her!) If it does, and you happen to have another daughter, I think you might regret using [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. Also, it sounds like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] B. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (unless you’re pronouncing [name_f]Bea[/name_f] more like [name_u]Bay[/name_u]-ah or [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-ah), which seems a little weird to me.
I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], followed by [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Those are all beautiful. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is one of my absolute favourites. Good luck.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is by far the best! Absolutely adorable:)
I voted for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but I also love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]. Both are beautiful names.
My favorite would personally be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. [name_m]How[/name_m] does your husband feel about [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]?
I’d probably say that it’s not the best idea to do [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] if you don’t think you’d give two middles to future siblings, or if husband is opposed to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
It’s hard to let go of favorites but in the end, it’s best to have a name both parents can meet in the middle and agree with. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a lovely name, and ultimately it’s the one that matters / that you’ll use for her the most. Middle names aren’t used as much so it’s all right if it’s not your absolute favorite name in that spot, so long as you don’t hate it.
I voted for [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] based on this comment of yours alone. Personally the name is not my style. However, your connection to bee/[name_f]Bea[/name_f] makes the name more substantial and the reasoning valid. That is what makes a name worth giving in my opinion. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] just sounds right for you.
Editing to add a compromise :
If your husband likes [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], maybe [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] on its own would work for you. It’s very sweet and has the same feel only without the heaviness of [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] that your husband may be put off by.
I’m usually all about the more elaborate names, but I honestly think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is such a stunning and fun combo that I voted for it over the more elegant [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be my second choice. Both of the [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] combos are just so pretty and fun and bubbly!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] all the way! Or… if you’re now maybe open to 2 middle names, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds lovely, has the right balance and isn’t a mouthful at all.
That is a funny association haha! But I totally understand. Sometimes that just happens with names. Honestly what I love most about [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] isn’t even the sound. I love the way it looks and most importantly, I love it’s meaning, “she who brings happiness.” Thank you for your vote and input!!
The struggle lol!
