Wex

[name]How[/name] could I go about getting to the nickname Wex? What is the general opinion on a child called Wex? Thanks, Berries

Wex sounds like [name]Rex[/name] with a lisp.

My first thought was [name]Wesley[/name] [name]Xavier[/name] or [name]Wesley[/name] [name]Xander[/name].

my thought exactly.

There’s a surname Wexler, Though I like the suggestion of [name]Wesley[/name] [name]Xavier[/name].

[name]Weston[/name] [name]Xander[/name]
[name]West[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Wesley[/name] Xane

This was my first thought too.

Agree with pp’s, Wex sounds like a bad pronunciation of [name]Rex[/name]. I do like [name]Wesley[/name] [name]Xavier[/name], though.

I don’t like it.
[name]Wes[/name] is great.
[name]Max[/name] is great.
[name]Rex[/name] is nice.

Wex is weird and not even cool [name]Star[/name] Trek weird, it sounds like a mistake.

Wexford is a real place name/surname, I guess. But yeah, I am not very partial to the name in general.

Ditto to what she said!

Wex is fantastic!..He could be Wexler…I think a child called Wex is awesome—We have to get away from the same old recycled names—soooo tired of seeing any roster from anywhere with the same names over and over and over–CHANGE THE WORLD, one WEX at a time!—But seriously, there wont be any other child in his classroom, let alone his school with that name----its fantastic!—Go for it!—Wex will be so thankful!

I love Wex! Fun, handsome, sporty and intelligent. [name]Love[/name] the idea of Wexler, or even Wexley. Though, [name]Wesley[/name] or [name]Weston[/name] with an X middle name is also a super cool idea.

I can picture Wex having a brother named [name]Rhys[/name], [name]Bo[/name] ([name]Bowen[/name]), [name]Toby[/name] ([name]Tobias[/name]), [name]Wilder[/name], [name]Knox[/name].

I can picture Wex having a sister named [name]Piper[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Lennon[/name], [name]Maisy[/name], [name]Bronwen[/name], [name]Bronte[/name], [name]Esme[/name], [name]Daisy[/name].

I don’t really like Wex. It’s probably because it is so close to [name]Wes[/name] (which I love), a name that already exists. Kind of like changing [name]Beth[/name] to Beff or something, just because you want it to be different.

All that being said, [name]Wesley[/name] and [name]Weston[/name] (and other similar names) are sufficient to get Wex, even without the “X” middle. Although, if you introduce him as Wex, I think plenty of people are going to mistake it for [name]Wes[/name], regardless of the formal name.

No, just no.

I like Wex, and it is a name that is used. I knew a mason named Wex [name_m]Reyes[/name_m], and met another guy named Wex once
