Whagt kind of person do you picture?

Recently, my husband and I have really started to like the name [name]Matthias[/name]. So, I was wondering, when you here this name, what kind of person do you picture? [name]How[/name] do you picture [name]Matthias[/name] as a little boy? [name]How[/name] do you picture him as a grown man? I have never met anyone with this name, so I am trying to picture someone actually ‘wearing’ the name. Please help me with this. Thanks.

I’m not sure what type of little boy I would imagine! I’ve only ever met people with [name]Matthias[/name] as their LN, never as a first, so I’m not sure. I kind of picture a cute little blond boy, easy smile, charming, sweet, a bit shy. Smart, maybe even cultured? Undeniably cute. When he gets older–he reminds me of a burly woodsman. Not sure why. Probably because there is a Mrs. [name]Matthias[/name] at my internship right now, and there’s a guy who works at the same place who runs maintenance and is kinda burly and woodsy. Still, I think it would be a great name to have, and if he ever feels it’s too out-there, he could go by the predictable [name]Matt[/name].

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. Its definately a possiblity that if we were to have a boy he could turn out with blond hair. I have blond hair and so does my oldest daughter and my husband had blond hair as a child. Anybody else have an image of what [name]Matthias[/name] would look like and what type of person fits with the name?

I think of a cute All-American boy who has parents that studied abroad in College.

The only [name]Matthias[/name] I’ve ever known was foreign of some sort- he had dark thick black hair and dark skin, very cute! He’s smart and charasmatic, handsome, and cultured! (glasses are a must!)

[name]Matthias[/name]… it’s a blank slate name for me! I think it’s great. It’s definitely a name that would shape well around the person bearing it. [name]Lovely[/name] choice.

I know a grown man and a teenager named matthias. I think the name works really well on babies, kids, and adults! The grown man is very funny and a hard worker. the teenager is also funny and has lots of friends.

I think as a boy it’s very All-American because it sounds so biblical, and as an adult I see a strong, hard working, easy going type of guy. The kind whose feathers don’t get ruffled very easily.

I see a scholar, an outdoorsman, a musician. A Renaissance man if you will.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I first heard of Matthais on the new [name]James[/name] [name]Bond[/name] Casino [name]Royale[/name] movie. The character wasn’t my favorite–depicted as a gentleman probably in his 60s, but surprisingly I still really like the name a lot! I think it is a fresh unique name (but not extreme) that can perfectly fit a little boy, teen, young man, college student, father, and grandfather. I think it is a great choice!

never known a matthias. it’s not pretty anyhow. go for matthew.
