[name_f]My[/name_f] great great great grandfather was named [name_m]Moise[/name_m] and I also have a Josephte, Onésime, and [name_f]Hyacinthe[/name_f] in my family tree! [name_f]My[/name_f] french Canadian lines are fun to trace!
by searching up my Dad’s last name in google a few weeks ago, I found a few named Josephte also, and a [name_u]Marie[/name_u]-[name_f]Delia[/name_f]! They were from [name_m]Quebec[/name_m]/Ontario area.
H3nry W!lloughby, [name_f]Ann[/name_f]@ Clar@ [name_f]Eliz[/name_f]@beth, and [name_m]Drury[/name_m] are my favorites! I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember them now. I’m fascinated by my family’s penchant for naming kids after historical figures… I think I’ve counted a dozen presidential honors, plus a couple ties to the [name_m]Marquis[/name_m] de [name_m]Lafayette[/name_m].
Noah, [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_m]Shadrach[/name_m], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] have been some cool stand-alones.

My 2 times great grandfather and grandmother had 12 children that they all named with ‘Z’ names. The 1st three started out as tributes to either friends or other family members and after that it became a trend. It caught the attention of Mr. [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] in the early 1900s from [name_u]Ripley[/name_u]’s [name_f]Believe[/name_f] It or Not and once people heard of it they began sending them ‘Z’ names even though she was past childbearing age by that point.
Their names: Ameriah & Jutry
Their children:
Girls:
Zylphia
[name_f]Zula[/name_f]
[name_f]Zadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Zenobia[/name_f]
Aunt [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] & Uncle Zelbert were the youngest and I remember them from my childhood. They were quite old but Unlcle Zelbert always had lollipops & popsicles for the cousins or grandkids visited.
Those ‘Z’ names have been passed down to many kids in my family since them, mostly as middle names.
Last I heard my 2nd cousin [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] had the list of extra ‘Z’ names that 2 times great grand ma Jutry kept. It was over 50 names long!
