Sweet [name]Jean[/name] doesn’t get nearly enough love these days.
[name]Jeanette[/name]
[name]Jeanne[/name]
[name]Jean[/name]-[name]Marie[/name]
[name]Mary[/name]-[name]Jean[/name]
[name]Jean[/name]-[name]Louise[/name]
I’m still hoping for an [name]Agnes[/name] comeback…I love that name! I’d also like to see [name]Joan[/name], [name]Bette[/name]/[name]Betty[/name], [name]Esther[/name], and [name]Rosemary[/name]. I could see [name]Rosemary[/name] making its way back, with the botanical names like [name]Juniper[/name] and [name]Laurel[/name]. I also love [name]Daisy[/name].
Has anyone said [name]Edith[/name] yet? It was my grandmother’s name and I can see it coming back, along with nn [name]Edie[/name]. If [name]Eden[/name] is so popular, why not?
I also think [name]Ellen[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Kathleen[/name] and [name]Lois[/name] could make a comeback, and possibly [name]Frances[/name].
For girls:
[name]Beatrice[/name] (this will probably get a boost in the next few years, especially if a certain book-to-movie adaptation goes over as well as its predecessors did)
[name]Constance[/name] (following the other virtue names)
[name]Diana[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name]
[name]Florence[/name]
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]Jacqueline[/name]
[name]June[/name]
[name]Mary[/name]
[name]Theresa[/name] (another fictional heroine that could possibly get a boost if the novel it comes from is adapted to the big screen)
And for boys:
[name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Edward[/name]
[name]George[/name]
[name]James[/name]
[name]John[/name]
[name]Marcus[/name]
[name]Robert[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Glad[/name] to see my name on some of the lists! I’d love to see more [name]Ingrid[/name]'s! I also like the idea of [name]Sylvia[/name], [name]Walter[/name], [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Arthur[/name], and [name]Theodora[/name]!
[name]John[/name]. I have not heard it in years. It was on a TV show recently where a baby was born and named [name]John[/name]. I thought "what are they thinking???’ Now it just dawned on me…I could see little [name]Johnny[/name] in school with the [name]Henry[/name]'s and such.
Maybe even 80s/90s names like
[name]Heather[/name]
[name]Amy[/name]
[name]Rachel[/name]
[name]Sarah[/name]
[name]Jennifer[/name]
I think people will see the beauty of names from their own generation or choose to honor people for from their own generation or realize how fresh these names would sound on a little one.
