Things like [name]Cameron[/name], [name]Campbell[/name], [name]Finley[/name], [name]Harper[/name], [name]Riley[/name], [name]Emerson[/name], and the like are fab, but what are some of the more unique boy-to-girl names you’ve heard?
Really liking [name]Hollis[/name] at the moment, as well as [name]Greyson[/name] (although it’s pretty mainstream I guess).
Giving girls boys’ names makes it hard for those of us who have boys! I had a hard time naming my four boys- all the good names are being stolen by girls! Ha!
Anyway, names that end in “son” may be too masculine since they denote “son.”
I love [name]Quinn[/name]. Can’t believe I’m suggesting that because that is the middle name of one of my sons. He’ll thank me later.
I also like [name]Charlie[/name]/[name]Charli[/name]
[name]Bailey[/name]
[name]Landon[/name]
[name]Shane[/name]
Also consider if your daugther will hate having a “boy’s” name.
Yes [name]Bailey[/name] is cute, but a bit too used these days I think. [name]Shane[/name], [name]Landon[/name] and [name]Hamilton[/name] are definitely still in the boy camp imo!
[name]Charlie[/name] - just by itself, not as a nn for [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Elliot[/name]
[name]James[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Evan[/name]
[name]Theo[/name]
[name]Reese[/name]
Also [name]Harper[/name], but I don’t really consider that a boy’s name because of [name]Harper[/name] [name]Lee[/name]
I think there’s such a unique & endearing quality of a girl with a name that has traditionally belonged to boys
Did you use any names in spite of them being used for girls? If so, I applaud you for helping to keep the names in use for boys. If not (and you abandoned a name that you liked just for that reason), then people like you are half of the problem with boys “losing” names (though if the name in question is now almost exclusively feminine like [name]Ashley[/name] or [name]Madison[/name] I’ll give you leeway there).
We have decided to name our little girl [name]Carter[/name]. I absolutely love using unisex names, as I myself have one. My mom picked my name out of the boy’s section of the baby name book and now it is becoming a lot more common for girls. I also lovve the name [name]Charlie[/name] for a little girl. [name]Joey[/name] is also a cute name Circa [name]Joey[/name] [name]Potter[/name] from the days of [name]Dawson[/name]'s Creek.
My sister is named [name]Evan[/name] and I’ve always thought it worked well on her. My SO says that he prefers [name]Evan[/name] on her to men he knows with it, and actually wanted to name our son this in the event he was a girl. Some of my favorites are:
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
[name]Toby[/name]
[name]Dawson[/name] (yes, even though it means ‘son of…’ i love the idea of it on a girl)
[name]James[/name]
[name]Elliott[/name]
[name]Spencer[/name]
